First time a wrapper here. THe black gloss fits perfectly on my Mercedes E350 gloss black. It took me 2,5 hours to wrap the hood, but the results are amazing. It looks like paint. Important note for new wrappers: make sure to heat the foil, because that's the only way to wrap the car. Not too much, you will feel eventually what is enough. Many reviews say that 3M is top-of-the-line wrap foil, but it breaks too easily, so I recommend this one to be used. As you gain experience, I guess you can try different types and brands.

Compared to 3M 1080, I'm not a fan of this material. Adhesion isn't as good and shrinking from heat in the sun is an issue. If stretched in excess when applied, it may shrink back from sitting in sun and showing original color of the surface. It's also a thicker material and harder to manipulate around tight edges, also wrinkles are more difficult. One of my bigger rolls came with a protective film on the squigee surface to take off after application to avoid scuffing.. which can be noticeable.

I used this wrap on my police charger that had a worn out spot on the door frame. It was my first time using a wrap and I felt like it was easy to use and an happy with the results. You can see the imperfections through the wrap. If I were to do it over again I would remove everything that would show through. Overall it looks better than before and was super easy.

I don't know why people say vvivid wraps are bad and doesn't stick. What people don't realize there are 2 types of vinyl adhesives. One is pressure activated like 3m etc. Another is heat activated. Vvivid has heat activated adhesives. After you position it, it must be heated to at least a few hundred degrees. This vinyl is awesome and very easy to work with. Also lasts many years. Over done many cars with vvivid vinyl.

There’s like a white film look on the finish. Looks bad in light like there’s in wiped wax on it. It’s THICK so be prepared for a fight if doing this alone. But I’d gladly send this back if I could. Just not a good material. Best to stick with a different brand or maybe not the + from vivid.

The air release backing on this vinyl makes it nearly impossible to have any bubbles, and it's nice that it's repostionable during install. It took me 3 hours from start to finish to wrap my chrome grill trim, and the trim above the headlights. I trimmed it by hand with a razor blade. A heat gun is a must. This is my first big wrapping project, but it turned out great!!
