Lots of hobbies and pastimes require using hand tools, gloves, power tools, bare hands, carving, digging, hammering, grabbing metal components.... so, for basic safety, wearing rings is not going to fly. Safety first. So, after many years of leaving my legit wedding band lying around in lockers, car consoles, desks, pockets, it didn't make sense to risk losing the actual gold band.
