I decided it was time for a new one so ordered the exact same Medium harness and it is actually tight on my dog, his weight is the same. I am using it but find it a little too small. This has been one of my all time favorite harnesses for my dogs. I had one that I took the clasps off and just used the velcro. They stopped making that one, but this has a small velcro piece and a large, very easy to use clasp. It has two loops on it that I thought might be a bother, but they aren't at all, and even seem to balance it a bit better. It also works well with the hook on his car seat. He gets in and out of it very well. I take each of his paws and "hop" him onto it on the floor, and he's gotten to where he thinks that is fun. A good, easy to use harness. I have it for a week. Will update later again. First of all, however wonderful product there are few tings to consider to make sure it is the right one for your dog so please read on. This leash is for SMALL BREEDS or SMALL SIZE dogs. MY XL fits a 25lbs dog and there is very little room to spare, just perfect fit with tinny bit air in the right places. So far and straight from the box pros: * It is beautiful * It is very well built * It is high quality good expensive materials * Very well balanced, not heavy, not super light but it is on a light side so the animal does not carry any added weight. * It is slightly padded, not beefy but not flat. It is just prefect. * It is very well build with things in all right places for the dog to wear with ease and owner to put on and click * It is very easy to put on and take off * It is three step on: you put the paws trough, you click the buckle, you snap on your leash, good to go the whole process takes less then 10 seconds. * All you need to put through is the paws unlike most that require you to put paws and the head through making it more complicated on energetic dogs or small dogs who lack yet a routine and discipline. * It looks very elegant by not covering too much of a dog, laving the beauty of animal to adore but has just enough to add to the whole dress up look without making and animal hot or uncomfortable. * It is a head turner. The first week of ownership I have been asked more then 10 times where did I get it. * Paired with your jacket color matchy matchy.. and the matching leash makes the whole get up adohable and dolled up. * The leash is connected on the top and stays on the top, never slides to the side or makes the dog step on it. * The connecting system is very easy to click and the leash connector is simple two metal loops that you just bring together to hook the leash on it, could not be easier or simpler or weight less. Important not to add weight on the dog. * Front has a nice little padding as well so the chest is protected from hurt by pulling on lish. * Dog is so super excited to use it that he is putting his paws and head at random trying to get it on fast.. with little practice we will make it easier but the excitement of the guy is through the roof, this must be very comfortable on him. He never exhibited any such behavior with the old one that he clearly was not comfortable wearing but never could communicate. Love it so far and I will update with time. Things to consider: ^ if you live in hot climate, I would probably not buy this one but thin mesh because this can be too hot. It is perfect for cold and moderate climate but even there I would get different one for summer hot days. ^ If you have a dog with thick rich fur it would be fine for winter and fall or early spring but I would stay away for summer hot months, might be too hot for them. ^ If you have a dog that has thick fur I would considering upsize it to have room for air not to be snug on the fur as this can lead to some skin issues and rash if is too snug as the animal will get overheated and can get rash. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. FOUR-YEAR UPDATE: This is the only brand of dog harness I will ever buy or recommend. Three months after my last update, we took in a paralyzed foster terrier when all of the local shelters went into COVID lockdown overnight. That spiraled out of control quickly. Since then we’ve fostered more than 30 dogs with intensive care needs, most fully or partially paralyzed from spinal injuries. Very often our fosters need to wear a harness 24/7 for safety, especially newly disabled dogs who need a service human to help navigate their environment. These are so comfortable for round-the-clock wear, even for allergy prone dogs or those with sensitive skin. These also work well in conjunction with the standard Walkin’ Wheels chest harness for dogs that don’t like the Walkin’ Warrior harness. I put the Voyager harness on first, then the wheelchair chest strap. It’s a very snug, comfortable fit that usually keeps everything properly aligned. Most of our fosters are lowriders with some degree of bladder/bowel incontinence, which makes for A LOT of laundry. It’s very rare that we can use a harness more than 2-3 days in a row without washing. There’s almost always a freshly washed load of harnesses hanging to dry, with plenty of clean ones in the bin ready to go. These Voyager harnesses take a relentless licking and just keep ticking. I’ve now purchased more than 50 of these in every size from XS to XL, and even one XXXS for my best friend’s itty bitty kitty who’s a frequent houseguest. I have yet to find a dog breed under 35 lbs. that can’t fit into one of these. Dachshunds, terriers, yorkies, chihuahuas, poodles, poms, maltese, cockers, frenchies—you name it, I’ll put a Voyager harness on it. I have bought two sizes of these for my 2 kittens. They are currently 3 months old and about 4 pounds and the xxxs fits decently. I also bought the xxs for them to grow into. I recommend these over many of the other cat harness options out there. I appreciate the ease of putting these on them and they seem comfortable with them after some harness training. They can eventually back out of them if you let them, but just like with any harness, it should be used with supervision. ... show more

Of all the harnesses I’ve tried this is the clear winner. Easy to put on even a resistant cat, and seems to fit comfortably without bi ding or digging in the way strap halters can. BUT while getting cat used to it indoors, her was able to back himself behind furniture and maneuver himself into a position where he could pull one arm out, which left the harness bunched up with him still in it. I know no safe, comfortable harness is 100% escape-proof, but be aware your care needs to be supervised while wearing this, especially in the early stage of getting them used to it. ... show more
