$43,00 for one set of towels? Really? It's outrageous. These are pretty towels. I love the color choices of this set & I especially love the hydrangea floral decoration on all of the pieces. They have a nice, soft feel. They washed & dried nicely, at least mostly. The seams & lace shrunk in the dryer. That can usually be remedied by leaving the towels slightly damp & giving them a strong tug along the seams at the top, bottom & sides. These responded as expected to having their seams stretched & they flattened out afterward. The issues I have with these towels go beyond their exorbitant price. The towels are thinnish. For a single towel set of this price range, one would expect very thick, plush & indulgent towels. These are soft, but they're thin. They dry quickly but they don't give you that snuggled, pampered thick towel hug they way the expensive plush ones do. The bath towel is a nice size, as is the 13" x 13" washcloth. The hand towel is weirdly shaped It is 28" long & 13 2/4" wide. In other words it is long & narrow. When I buy a hand towel, especially an expensive one I expect it to be 16" - 18" wide & 25" - 26" inches long, or there about. The hand towel in this set is plenty long, but the width is extremely narrow. Yes, you can fold the edges back & make it look decent when you hang it up. But, I expect to basically be able to fold my hand towel into thirds & have the full design on the face of the towel facing forward & fully visible. Corners were cut in making this hand towel. Possibly the bath towel was also cut skimpily, but I don't know because I didn't measure it. I didn't notice any difference in size when using it. I did notice that it was extremely thin. That said, the color is pretty. The hydrangea flowers are lovely. I wasn't sure how they would hold up to washing & drying since they are three dimensional, but they washed & dried with ease & came out of the dryer looking perky & fresh. The piping & lace are well sewn & add a pretty finishing touch to the towels & washcloth. The seams overall look professionally sewn. There are no loose threads, missed seams or loose stitching that I saw, so I'm happy with the quality of the construction. The fabric that the towels are constructed from is soft. It feels like cotton or a cotton/polyester blend. There were no visible pulls in the terry which is often seen. The embroidery where the leaves meet the dimensional flowers. There are no loose threads & the stitching appears to be well done, secure & unlikely to unravel. Another surprising positive of these towels is that that the washcloth is decorated like the bath & had towels. That's highly unusual, but very nice. Usually a washcloth will either be plain, or possibly have a limited decoration, an example of which might be the flowers that are woven into the fabric. It's shown it a couple of pictures. The actual towel fabric has a sprinkling of flowers woven right into the terrycloth. On the front of the towel, the flowers are white. On the reverse they are blue & the towel has a white background. I expected that the washcloth would have been made with just this pretty fabric only. That would be typical. But this washcloth has the extra decoration matching the towels, which is very nice. Still given the exorbitantly high price of $43.00 for a three-piece towel set & the thinness of the fabric, I cannot recommend this set to others. If these towels were twice their current thickness & had towels that were constructed to be a normal size, 16" x 26" or 18" x 28" hand towels, 27"- 28" x 57" - 58" bath towels, these would be receiving a 5-star rating. Personally, I would never spend that much on a single set of towels & I buy super plush towels with name brands like Wamsutta. I usually buy towels in sets of two, two washcloths, two hand towels, & two bath towels. Occasionally, I'll buy two extra hand towels & washcloths because these tend to wear more quickly than the bath towels. I've set a limit of no more than $65.00 for two sets of ultra plush bath towels, hand towels & washcloths, & generally I will look to spend closer to $50.00 for them. There are some very nice, ultra plush, name brand towels available in this price range. These towels are currently on sale for just under $39.00. In my opinion that price is still extremely high. I would recommend a price of $22.00 - $23.00 per set as being a reasonable price for this quality towel set. It's a shame, because otherwise, these towels have so many positive qualities. They need to be thicker, of normal US sizes & a lower price. With the mentioned improvements, I would recommend no more than $30.00 per set.
