  • How Times Have Changed
Subscription Length: 1 Year Auto-Renewal
Vogue used to be one of the leading fashion magazines where you could enjoy upcoming collections with top models of all kinds and brilliant photographers, all top of their field. Someone has decided tp onsert their political agenda of late and it's just tiresome. I'm sick of the elevation of some under the pretense of 'empowering and uplifting" anotherr. The more you focus on differences that are truly skin deep, the greater the divide. Yes, I believe people should be equal and treated as such. Now it's come to bashing of one race group in favour of the other. It's transparent and obvious while being unnecessary in this venue. Fashion is different, created b different people, marketed and sold and bought by different people. It feels like they are inflating a situation or trying to create one where there shouldn'r be any. No one race or sexuality belongs to, benefits most from or is most representativ e of fashion. VOGUE, get off your soapbox, it's not becoming. Cancelled my subscription. ... show more

  • Features missing that are no match for the use of print magazines.
I accepted the 30 day trial offer, though canceled the subscription because of the lack of features. I've read Vogue all my life. When many pther kids were reading Highlights magazine, I had Vogue. The reason I cancelled is due to the lack of features which degrades the expereince. For the print edition, I enjoy a full read then tear out the images or articles I find inspiring. (Called scratching in the creative world) With the digital edition there is no way to make a bookmark, nor is there a way to clip articles or images you like into notes. There is no way to share to a clipping site, like Pinterest, where I could refer to view saved images. I will say amazon customer service perfectly handled canceling on the trial. I called because I could not find the order under my account. ... If this had bookmarking, and saving or sharing features for articles and images I would choose this over paper simply to avoid the recycle cycle. However, my old binder filled with magazine clippings rules over the digital version for a better experience. ... show more

Short version. Not the same as the store magazine.

  • do not subscribe for me ever for anything
I never asked for this subscription, I never knew of this subscription and then I was emailed and told if I had to tell them if I was not going to renew .... they would have charged my credit card for a renewal I never asked for had I not responded to the email. Some people may just delete the email and then get charged for something on a card they do not monitor well for something they never ordered. I am shocked! this type of advertising should never be done. No subscription should be made for anyone except by the person themselves, even a "free trial one" as they always mean you will get billed next month! ... show more

  • no longer the best
Subscription Length: 1 Year Auto-Renewal
Lately it seems like Vogue has lost its premium quality. The paper is thinner and so are most of the issues, the editorials are less inviting and overwhelmed by the ads which can be printed on paper so thick it makes it hard to leaf through the magazine. And don't get me started on the vile mix of too many competing perfume samples! I don't like many scents and a number of them make me nauseous, so I pull the things out immediately and put them in the farthest-away-from-me recycling bin. Even so, the scents still linger in the paper, especially on the facing pages, so I have to wash my hands after touching the magazine--something that cuts deeply into my enjoyment of Vogue and other mags with perfume sample ads. What's still great are the personal experience essays. Vogue has always had the best writers and the most interesting takes. Some of the fashion pages are still gorgeous, though many seem like recycled versions with poses we've already seen other models do better, or photos where the clothes can't be seen in the landscape or lighting used. With the poses, I don't know if the fault is the model's, because she has a limited range of poses, expressions or emotions, or if the fault is the editor's for choosing clothes or photos that look alike, but there's a lot too much sameness to the magazine recently. I look back longingly at Grace Coddington's amazing 1920s shoot, or the Versailles spread with those incredible clothes and stunning model with her gift for inventive poses that still let us see what she's wearing, or the Alice in Wonderland shoot--all examples of the best fashion photography available--and I hope Vogue gets a renewed jolt of the creativity, craftsmanship and professional pride that has made it an exemplar. ... show more

  • It's vogue
It is what it is, a bunch of ads, but they sure are pretty! Always loved the photography and fashion of Vogue and is good to feed you ideas and keep you noticing the cycle of trends and the evolution of art & fashion
