I tried it on when I got it, and though it is a good thickness and seems fine for a lab coat, it almost fit me, and I wear a med to large depending. I just couldn't button it. So it should be fine and big for her. Considering some reviewers said it shrank after washing, then it would be fine. Nice for the price for sure.
