I met a woman in Italy this summer who as wearing the Vionic Uptown loafer, and she was raving how comfortable they were for all day walking, and they looked so stylish with her long shorts. I was looking for a comfortable city walking shoe that wasn’t a sneaker, or loafer, and yet didn’t scream orthotic for this fall/winter, and these Mary Jane’s in black fill the bill. They may not be the best with a dress or skirt for me, but they are great with my high waist wide leg jeans and trousers. I can walk for miles in these! Good for travel! The arch support is moderate and the sole feels cushioned. I usually wear a US size 8, and they were a little too large/loose. I sized down to a 7.5, and they fit perfectly. ... show more

i made a mistake and ordered these in navy blue thinking it was black suede so returned because of the color, but my main issue with the pair were not symmetrical straps, one was visibly shorter than the other and it was upsetting, hopefully other pair won't have this issue

Vionic makes a great product, no doubt about it. Gone are the days of ugly orthotic shoes for those of us who need the support. I love the mary jane style, velcro strap on the side. The shoe fits well. The one thing I WOULD note, however, is that the shoe is narrow at the heel. I have skinny feet, so that is not an issue for me. But others may find it so. The overall shoe fits well and runs true to size and is very very comfortable & feels good wearing them for long periods. I'm always a 7M and this was a great fit. Just mind the narrow heel and make sure it is comfortable, because they are not cheap & you want to have them for a long time. ... show more

Really cute. minimal support. Shallow toe box. Outside of shoe is soft and napped, like suede. Not sure how hard it would be to keep it clean. Thin strap is awkward to open. There is a piece of decor over the end of the strap which makes it difficult to get my finger under the end of the strap to get grip and open it. ... show more
