Recently took a 10-week trip to Iceland, Ireland, London and Germany. Packed these along with hiking boots and sandals. I wore these 95% of the time. They were fantastic for the plane - could easily take them off and put them on. I walked miles and miles in these and they were very comfortable. One exception. Cobblestone paths. These shoes were a little too lightweight for that. Really needed my hiking boots for those to be comfortable. I think these shoes look great. Can be dressed up and down. The Essence Zinah is a nice-looking slip-on sneaker that works well with jeans or a casual skirt. The fit is a little snug around the toe-box on one foot, but since the shoe is leather, I expect that it will mold to my foot fairly quickly. When I make sure that the seam of my compression sock is not on the outer edge of my foot, the shoe fits more comfortably. The Vionic orthotic arch support is great to relieve pronation. It's also convenient that the removable orthotic insoles can be switched to other pairs of shoes if necessary. Edit: I think I've figured out the problem with the tightness. This shoe was not actually designed for a woman's foot (narrow heel, wider toe-box.) I didn't have that problem with my other Vionic shoes because they are more athletic-leisure fabric shoes which naturally have more give. And, yes, with the use of a shoe-stretcher and leather stretcher spray, they did adapt to my foot. I just wish this shoe had fit comfortably right out of the box. ... show more

I love Vionics. This was my fourth pair, and the other pairs, which I bought in the store, I had to get in a half size larger than I usually wear. For some reason, this pair feels longer and is a little loose on my feet. However, I have some leather inserts that I use, and wear thicker socks, and they do well enough. That said, these are really cute and I love the green color (I wear a lot of browns and greens). If you have never tried Vionics, be prepared for some major comfort and wearability. ... show more

    • Insole Improperly Inserted
My shoes were just delivered a few minutes ago and I immediately unpacked them to try them on. The shoes appeared to be in new condition, however the removable insole in BOTH shoes had been inserted with the front 2 inches of the insole folded under. It took a minute to realize what was wrong - and five minutes to get the insoles back in the shoes without them folding under again. I have been buying and wearing Vionic shoes for many years and have NEVER had this problem. Other than the insole issue, the shoes fit true to size and were very comfortable.
