EVA midsole with built-in . 5 inch(es) elevation for a smooth transition in heel-to-toe strike zone. Podiatrist-developed biomechanical footbed featuring contoured arch support, with shock-absorbing cushioning, deep heel cup to provide stability, and forefoot flexibility. Features an anti-bacterial top cloth to control foot odor. It's recommended to wear your new pair for a few hours to allow your feet to adapt to the new support. I love Vionic. They are always improving their shoes not just settling on a great shoe and that's probably why this shoe is my fav so far. When I first put them on, I could feel the just right fit. Not too long, yet plenty of toe room. The heel counter is solid so the shoe doesn't slip. The Arch support keeps my foot where it should be for my knees and back. Additionally, being a senior citizen with balance issues, I could feel the improvement in my step, and am so grateful for that. Even though I am elderly, that doesn't mean I don't care about style. I enjoy the latest look, yet I also love a classic classy appearance. I chose a more expensive rose and white with silver accents color and it is truly more beautiful than the picture. Yes-expensive for me anyway, but I just bought them anyway and what a smile they created when I put them on my feet. They are comfortable right out of the box. Great arch support. It takes some time to get use to that. I have a wide foot, these have an ample amount of room. The heel doesn't slip.

These shoes are really nice. I get a lot of compliments on them and have definitely noticed a difference in the comfort of them vs. my other sneakers. However, I do still need to wear insoles with them, which kind of defeats the whole purpose in my mind. I still wear them all the time, but I just wish they had more structure. ... show more

Extremely disappointed with the inaccurate sizing of the shoe. I normally wear a 10 but have noticed Vionics to be a bit on the narrow side. I purchased a 10.5 wide to ensure a good fit with a little extra room. I was surprised to see the insole is labeled 7.5#-9# M. Why would a 10.5 wide shoe be fitted with a small insole?
