its a nice stand and my bass fit perfect. The finish is a different color in person. A little to red for my taste but it doesn't affect the purpose of the stand. That function works great! A bit pricey but not many out there to choose from.

I got this for my grandson. He loves to play and does it often. His bass was always on the floor. It never is now. His brother has one for his cello. Now there's one on each side of the living room door. Nicely padded, holds the bass well, and looks beautiful.

Will it function as described? Sure it’s a box, no more, no less. Do you have a nice looking bass? Well you’re about to stand it up in a cheap piece of plywood. I’m a hack and my bass cost less than $1000, so it’ll serve me fine. My complaint is, since I’m going to have to refinish it I’d have preferred it have been sold as a “kit” for about half this price. {edited to add the photo after refinishing} ... show more

    • Overpriced
It functions as advertised, but it's cheaply made and not very attractive. It's made from medium-grade plywood. Flat-cut edges were not sanded. The edge detail (more or less an ogee profile) is crude -- not surprising, since it's been cut into a plywood edge. Edges are nailed and the nail holes were not filled properly. The finish is not very attractive, I doubt it's durable, and the legs aren't finished properly. Pretty disappointing overall. Not a fine piece of furniture. I wish there was a better alternative... some day I'll make a decent-quality copy. ... show more

    • Not so nice for the price...
The bass stand arrived with a dent and many imperfections in the wood staining. Lots of nicks & areas where stain wasn’t applied properly. Not a very pretty stand for the price.

    • Beautiful, well made bass stand!
I love this stand! It holds the bass firmly in place. It will not topple over and is a much safer stand than any others I have seen. It is well made and looks very beautiful in my home.
