The quality is absolutely fantastic, first of all. I read all of the reviews and even taking them and the recommended size into consideration, I still decided to go by the sizing guide. I'm 5'7, 140lbs. I've got a big butt and moderately large chest. I ordered a 12/14 as per the sizing guide, despite knowing that I am usually an 8/10 in dresses. The chest area fits well - a little big, but nothing that can't be remedied with a good bra. The waist area is MASSIVE on me, though. I'm talking a good 6 inches in excess. I know it's not supposed to be form fitting and I've worn dropwaist dresses on multiple occasions. The drop waist line is supposed to sit comfortably at your waist. For it to do this on me, a good 6 inches would need to be taken off. The length is perfect, too. If there were any way at all for me to alter the dress or for me to get a replacement in time for the play I need it for, I'd give it 5/5. This dress is not stetchy at all. If you have sensory issues, this dress should be okay for you. It feels like chiffon.

in my search for the perfect 1920's style dress, I ended up purchasing three different dresses. I'm a middle aged women and didn't want a shorter length dress with fringes (showing my thighs) and this dress falls perfectly below the knees. It's a simple by classy drop waist black dress and with a minor alteration (I removed the side bow and added an antique looking brooch to the side of the dress) it was perfect for the occasion. Because I don't care for sleeveless dresses, I wore a vintage beaded shawl. I beleive the cleaning nstruction suggest that the dress be hand washed...I put in the washing machine on gentle cycle, cold water, and Woollite detergent. I had no choice but to wash the dress because my sinus/allergy went crazy after trying on the dress. After finding a white strand of pet hair on the dress, I assumed the dress was returned by someone owning a pet. No, the dress didn't shrink after washing it and I let it air dry. Good luck in finding your Perfect dress.

This dress was cheaply made for the price. I ordered a size larger and I could hardly fit it over my head. I had even checked the size charts and other reviews to make sure I ordered a size to fit. I am so disappointed. The pretty bow on the picture was just a limp bow. I sent it back.

I have this brand in another dress, so I ordered this one the same size. That was a mistake. This one is way bigger, like a size large. It is particularly under the arms. I am 5’9”, 135 lbs, 36” bust circumference. I am wearing size small.

My company was having a Roaring 20's themed holiday party and I needed a dress. I did not want the "flapper style" with fringe. This drop waist dress was exactly what I was looking for. (Ironing it was kind of a pain, but I am not the best at ironing anyway.) It fit perfectly. I think you could easily wear this to other events, it is that cute and comfortable. I am impressed with the quality and is easy to wash. It has to dry flat...I just laid it on my folding table on a bath towel. It dried quickly. I am tempted to get another one in another color!
