I'm short so they are long on me and I have to hem them but for average height I think they would just be a long dress. They are very stretchy and soft. I love this new print it's really pretty. This is a very good dress for my requirements: shoulders, cleavage, and knees covered and for evening. The fabric is soft, smooth, and not too thin - like a heavy t-shirt. I got the dark blue which is completely opaque although I will probably wear a slip. For reference I’m 5’5, will be wearing flats and will need to hem it 3-4 inches. I weigh 150, have a 40-42inch bust, and narrow hips. I purchased XL which is a really nice fit all over without bagging neckline or tight bust. The extra fabric on the bottom half below my wait just flows nicely and doesn’t wad up.

I love the color , the fabric , the fit other than the waist being at my nipples , the sleeves all for snug. The pockets hold what I need to carry such as cell phone and cigarettes and lighter. If my empire waist was dropped about 4 inches it would be perfect. I am disabled and have a limited range of motion so the stretchy fabric is fabulous and does not cause me pain when I put it on or take it off.
