I bought this because it was advertised as having a 22lb max capacity, but the tag that came on it only says 17.5lbs, so I believe the listing was misleading. Otherwise it does a decent job though.

    • The knobs on the legs are designed incorrectly.

I’ve gone through numerous tripods. But the knobs to open the legs are on the opposite direction as all the other products out there. That’s not an issue though. I can get used to that. But the main issue with this tripod is that the knobs are so cheaply made and super stiff. I’ve cut my finger trying to move the knobs to open. Usually I use the tripod for my GoPro filming so I need to be able to adjust the legs in a timely manner. But it’s near impossible to adjust the legs with a lot of time given. ... show more

Impressive tripod that is sturdy yet lightweight, fully assembled right out of the nice padded carrybag. Appears to be well built, especially for the price. The only minor issue is the camera plate will ONLY go 'in' one way/direction and it's a bit rough/stiff because it is powder coated aluminum, so it doesn't 'slide' in smoothly.
