  • Not for everyone.
Size: 11.5-12 Color: Khaki
I wear Vibram Five Fingers daily. My feet get the workout they need for healthy circulation and my walking and running gait are perfect since these shoes are the equivalent of going barefoot. I'm a Boomer and something of a naturalist, healthy eating, environmentally conscious, etc., etc., etc. These hemp shoes are just the thing for daily wear (I have five different pairs of Vibrams depending on what I am doing). They are definitely not for everyone, but if you demand comfort over convention and want your feet to only experience what evolution intended for them, they are for you. ... show more

  • Amazingly comfortable shoe...but that Vibram funk is real
Size: 12 Color: Khaki
The feeling when putting these beautiful hemp barefoot shoes is amazing. It feels like breathable silk around each foot! The look is cool IMO and getting them on is great! My most recent pair of adidas were size 11 1/2. And I went with 12-12 1/2 or 47EU. They fit beautifully! I've only had these shoes for a day and I'm so grateful I bought them. So lets get into how they feel underneath the foot. After slipping into the most comfortable foot gloves ever, I decided to do some walking around and wow, was it great! No arch "support", neutral heel not giving me an inch plus of padding, I feel every step! While still knowing I'm protected and supported with about 6mm of the undersole. I know transitioning to barefoot shoes is meant to be done gradually, so I will try to not wear these shoes every waking moment I possibly can. Final thoughts, great shoes, comfortable and great barefoot feel with enough protection. PS: Check out "Whole Body Barefoot" by Katy Bowman to learn how to transition to minimal footwear. Edit: Since purchasing 2.5 months ago, I still love these shoes. They are very comfortable and I have been nicely transitioning to minimal footwear with them. I will say one negative though, and that is the Vibram Funk. Shoes sans socks = sweaty feet, sweating into your shoes, then just locking in that sweet, remarkably pungent foot smell. I have washed my Vibrams probably about once every 2 weeks. ... show more

  • Very nice shoe, but...
Size: 8.5-9 Color: Black
I really liked these shoes. I almost exclusively wear Vibram's 5-finger shoes and really like when they put out styles like this one that match casual attire and looks besides their athletic looking shoes which I wear any way. I tried these in the khaki in size 40, and they fit almost exactly to my foot. I do like to wear them with socks, but I usually don't have to size up to wear with socks. Nonetheless, I have found that the majority of the time I wear a 40, but in certain cases I wear a 41. For example, in their wool winter bootie and another suede trek ascent, so mostly due to material is what causes the size variability I think anyway. These were a little surprising as I thought the 40 would be perfect, but when it wasn't I figured the shoe was cute enough to keep but try ordering in a 41 in the grey to see if I'd get a better fit. The toes with the 41 were perfect! So was the rest of the shoe, all the way up until my heel. The shoe was just enough mm's too long so that they moved too much with the first step I took trying them on. So I did return them. I'm hoping the khaki 40's stretch enough to be more comfortable with time. If they do, I might re-order these charcoal one's in a 40 in the future, but will hold off for now. ... show more

  • Good for LESS THAN 200 miles, 2 months of wear.
Size: 9-9.5 Color: Khaki
These shoes end up costing $50-100 PER MONTH. This is one of the few shoes in existence that fits and moves well with my foot. They'd get five stars if they lasted longer. HOWEVER, the majority of the sole seems to be made out of something about as hard and durable as chewing gum. There are little patches of what appear to be a more durable material, on the back of the heel and under the ball of the big toe. HOWEVER... If your foot mechanics are even slightly outside of this ideal (like mine are), you'll miss these patches entirely and chew though the flimsy foamy stuff in a matter of weeks. Picture is after less than two months of wear. Worn for 4-5 miles at a stretch, just walking, 3-4 times per week. Hole all the way through the bottom. This is my fifth pair. Same thing every time. Utterly stupid engineering FAIL, on what could have been an excellent product. Just mold the sole out of something durable. Why is that too much to ask? ... show more

  • Second pair. Disappointed. Sad.
Size: 12-12.5 Color: Black
This is my second time purchasing the hemp five fingers I loved my first pair. I worn then as my primary summer shoe. They were remarkably durable and survive hikes, running and cutting while playing games with kids and many washings. They eventually started to fall apart after 1 and 1/2 summers of heavy use. I saw they were in stock through Amazon and didn't think twice and order them. I am super disappointed because after one month of very infrequent use, follow by one week of primary use, the toe seam on the right foot pulled. I only where these with toe socks so I can be confident in seeing this as a quality issue and not a gnarly toe nail issue. I super sad and disappointed and sad that these didn't live up to my first experience. So my review is, if you get a good pair, Awesome! They are really good shoes. If you lose the quality sweepstakes, bummer you just wasted a pretty good amount of money on a shoe you got a months worth of use. I don't plan on gambling with these shoes again. And that makes me sad ... show more
