Air filter was used for a glowforge laser. First one was used and the seller fixed that by sending a new unit. It’s noisy, and although I used all the media provided it filled the house with smoke! There is no way this works like the glowforge air filter. The glowforge air filter is expensive and the media is 250 alone when it’s in stock but it does not smell at all! This thing does absolutely nothing like I said the house filled with smoke it was horrible. The other thing is there is no way and no where to buy more media! Basically you have to buy a whole new machine ....so why not just get the glowforge air filter and have something that works? Very depressing because I feel as there is no competition for glowforge and I was hoping this would work! ... show more

It has very little suction power aka cfm's. The smoke just kept lingering in my lasers. I added an inline fan to push the smoke into the unit, which helped some. The lid also does not fit snug, so the air got pushed out before it got cleaned. I fixed that with duct tape. So if you on an extreme budget and you only have a laser that does not generate too much smoke, you could probably make this work. I got in trouble with my neighbors, so I needed to upgrade to a mid-level air cleaner. ... show more

Order this to install on my laser cabinet. Was hoping for quiet what I got was very loud so opened it up to see why because I needed it for use in 2 days after it came in. What I found was spot welds that hold the fan to the base where broken. The fan itself is not that loud when ran but the fan bounching mostly loose inside the main box is very loud. Then the fan has no ducting from the fan to the outside of the box making it inefficient. A few design issues but main problem is how loud it is sounds like a jet engine when running. Do not recommend this one if your in rush maybe if it comes in not broken it would be ok. Update fan is still very loud I ended up using small screws to put the fan back like it should have been except the blade us still unbalanced. So still load, paint is now chipping off. Wish u could have returned it but had to have it for a an indoor event for my lasers. ... show more

If you are wanting to cut down on the fumes from a glowforge or similar laser this is a great addition to your setup, purchased this in lieu of the 1k filter from Glowforge, made a few adjustments and it’s working great. -Jami O.
