The first thing I noticed was the capacitor covers had no seals and had gaps to where you could see the actual capacitor just by looking at them. Wired up the motor and nothing. Double check power supply. Had proper power but the motor did nothing. Crap all the way around. Stay away from this motor.

    • Good unit to replace the original motor for an air compressor

First unit I received was a dud. It never delivered the full 120PSI in the tank and I had to keep pressing the Reset button to get it to operate. Was not hot to touch so shouldn't have needed to be reset. Amazon replaced the unit. (thankfully as the manufacturer customer service was pretty woeful) Second unit is operating as expected. Keeps the tank at 120PSI and comes on when needed. Very happy with that one. Giving 4 out of 5 stars purely because the first unit was a dud and the manufacturer customer service was not great. Fortunately Amazon CS is much better. Although I was surprised that there was not automatic return because I was right on the 30 day return window (30 days was on a Sunday AFAIK). ... show more
