I really like this jacket. It is fashionable looking. And it does what you expect. I really like the glow badge on the front that has 3 different colors: blue, white, red depending on whether you have heat set at low, medium or high. It also has an inner pocket to store your phone, provided it's of medium size. It's also very comfortable. It heats up within a few minutes. If you plan on getting it, get one size larger than what you would normally order. I am a large, but I found the large jacket to be too tight for comfort. There are some things I really wish they improved on. My biggest gripes involve the battery. First the pocket to place the battery is a little too small. For large, it's not easy to put the battery in or remove it. The same size battery is used on the XL size, but the pockets on the XL are larger, so its not a problem on XL. Perhaps the smaller jackets the problem is worse. Second, the battery uses a 8.4v outlet/jack to supply heat and for charging. This is a problem, because none of the batteries to power your electronics can be used on the jacket, since most batteries for electronics do not have an 8.4v outlet. You are forced to use their battery. Since there are so many batteries on the market of all sizes, shapes, performance, and price, I think this is a severe restriction. I realize this might be due to the power requirements for heating the jacket, but there are some battery for electronics with two outlets, perhaps you can combine them for the energy needs. (Perhaps later models of this jacket address this issue.) Third, the heat pads do not warm up at the same rate. They eventually get to the same temperature, but the "battery side" heat pad warms up faster than the other side. Fourth, the heat pads are on the chest. That's not bad, but the chest is usually the last thing you want warmed. It's usually the limbs, neck area, your ears, basically your extremities where you wish heat was directed. It would be nice if later gens would provide heating for your fore limbs, neck area, the hoodie too. Or at least give the option for it. Finally, the chest area is the least insulated. That makes sense, b/c the heat pads are in it. But sometimes, you don't want the power. The coat should be a good coat to start and be augmented with some heating. It's not bad, but non-heated jackets seem to retain heat more. None of my complaints are show stoppers. I'm hoping the designers read it. Overall the coat / jacket is an excellent choice.

It does Exactly what it says it’ll do. I tested it in weather where I would normally need a regular hoodie coupled with a fall jacket, and this hoodie was considerably warmer. I do wish the back heating element went down a little lower on the back, though. It would greatly help people with lower back pain. Anyway, some random comments: -It’s really, really comfortable. The coils take a little getting used to, but you stop noticing them pretty quick. They don’t hinder the comfort, but unless you’re used to items like this, it does feel a bit odd at first. If you’ve ever used a heated blanket it’s a bit like that, though these coils are considerably less bulky and noticeable than most heated blankets. Plus, there are only a few of them. -Be warned that it’s slightly baggy. Not in a way that’s obnoxious, but don’t expect this to be 100% form-fitting. It’s very proportional, though. It’s not like some hoodies, where the arms seem to be baggier than the body, or it feels too short and wide, etc. To me that’s a positive, though, because it really aids in the comfort factor. -The inside pockets are fantastic. It’s pretty rare that you find a hoodie with inside pockets, and these are well done. -I was pleasantly surprised to find that despite the battery being fairly large and heavy, the weight doesn’t cause the hoodie to droop where it attaches. -And my personal favorite part- the hood is actually comfortable! I dunno if I have a brontosaurus neck or what, but way too many hoods don’t feel large enough for me to be comfortable. That’s not the issue here. It’s always my main concern when I get a hoodie, so if you have a freak neck like me, rejoice. I took a star off for two reasons- 1. There’s no reason to have the button on the outside of the hoodie. I want to be warm, not have attention drawn to me because I have a big, brightly glowing button on my shirt. As soon as I saw how bright the thing is I started trying to think of a way I could block it out. Why it’s not just on the detachable battery itself, or on the inside of the hoodie at least, I have no idea. When you consider the fact that if you’re wearing this that most likely means you need added warmth, you’re going to always have a light on your chest. 2. A lesser complaint- this thing weighs more than I expected, especially once you add the battery to it. With the battery it weighs about as much as a smaller winter coat. In hindsight that makes sense, though. It’s a minor complaint. I should add that neither of these two things are dealbreakers to me, but it’s a serious shame the button isn’t on the inside. Overall a very recommended buy. If you have found yourself seeking this sort of thing out, feel confident in the fact that this is most likely exactly what you’re looking for. It’s built really well, and other than the light issue, I don’t have any true complaints. (They should consider releasing one with heated pockets! They sell a coat like that, but if you added heated pockets to this hoodie it would be amazing, especially for people like me with circulation issues in their hands.)

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. She’s always cold and wanted to try it. Well she loves it. She does wish it could be more stylish but she loves the warmth. She did say she wishes it could have the coils in the pockets so her hands can be warm too. That would make it close to perfect. We’ve washed it and it’s fine and she uses it all the time. I recommend it.

Expensive but this is the first heated product that actually keeps me SO warm & toasty! Only downside: battery life is about an hour, so you need multiple backup batteries which is not practical /cheap. Absolutely worth it anyway
