We’ve been trying out different styles of steering wheel locks in our different cars for a few months now. I don’t particularly love the “Club” style devices as a matter of preference; I find them too big and clunky. We tried this in a compact car, a compact SUV, and a Prius that’s essentially a less-tall minivan. It fit and functioned in all three vehicles, but I can see how some bigger SUVs or trucks might have fit issues. The biggest issue I found with it is using the key isn’t a smooth process. It is highly visible from outside the car, which was a feature I wanted as we use these with the intention of making our cars too much hassle to bother stealing. I haven’t earnestly tried to hack the device, but it feels like it would be a pain to do, so… mission accomplished. These devices can’t completely stop a determined thief, but they can certainly make your car harder and more aggravating to steal than it would be without them. Worth the very reasonable price.

This is my first time buying a steering wheel lock. I was inpressed buy how solid the entire mechanism was, no one will be able to forcefully remove this steering wheel lock. Also, very easy to use even for first timer like me.

The lock seems good in pictures but in practice it was a failure, at least for me. The key is cross-shaped, which one would think means you could insert it in any of the four orientations. But it can only be inserted in one of the four possible ways. The key does have a notch that you're supposed to line up with the mark on the lock housing, so there is that, but it is still awkward. The biggest problem though is that this simply does not fit on steering wheels where the center bulges out from the center (see image). This did not fit either of our vehicles. I would point out that while the pictures on Amazon show large, rounded hoops for wheel contact point, the one on the extendable arm is actually v-shaped. The description states 2-1/2 inch openings. The one on the lock body is actually only 1-1/2 inches and may not even fit a thick steering wheel (I wouldn't know since I couldn't get that far). I've seen and reviewed other units that allow for a bulky steering wheel center that work fine. This one does not. Sorry but that's what I found.

So I kept procrastinating and yes, I own a Kia that was easy to steal. SO they did. This steering wheel lock as given me a bit of peace of mind. Its well made and sturdy. Not so Heavy that you cringe at using it. It is adjustable which is nice. I will be buying another for our second vehicle. The lock and key is nice. Very happy with this product, just sad it was necessary.

I liked the idea of having my SUV wheel locked since my make of vehicle seems to be a target, but the wheel lock didn't fit as well as I hoped. I was able to fit it on one side, but the horn part kept the other side from fitting the way it should. It's not a complete loss since it does "lock" it in place enough & maybe just the look of it will keep people away. Good concept but not universal with all vehicles.

I recently bought a new Kia and was concerned about theft due to recent coverage in the news of Kia and Hyundai's being stolen. So, I bought this product hoping it would deter theft. While installing the lock, I set off the horn A LOT, so be sure to read the instructions before installing!! :-) Then, I promptly misplaced the keys after I installed it (yup, LOST them within 5 minutes of installing the lock!!!). I searched the Internet on ways to get around the lock and when that didn't work I contacted the seller. I did not want to spend money on a lock smith, so I was hoping they could help. Thankfully, the next day I found the keys beside another vehicle in the lot. However, the seller responded very quickly that they would do everything possible to help me. I loved the customer service. You get two keys so I have put one key in a safe place. Initially it took me a few days to get used to installing the lock, but now I find it easy to install. The lock itself is very study and it fits nicely on my steering wheel. Once in place, you cannot turn the steering wheel in a full circle. So far it has deterred theft, so I am praying that continues!

It does its job and gives extra seconds to preventing it from being pulled off. It does have major difficulties with fitting specific sizes of wheels. It cannot fit a 14 1/2" in. X 4 1/2" in at all and it needs to be in a smaller steering wheel than the dimensions above.
