This helmet rocks for the price! I have a full face Motocross style Helmet I wear riding my ATV and dirt bike. In my opinion u should only wear a full face helmet for a motorcycle, atv, dirt bike, etc. I wouldn’t wear a half or even 3/4 helmet on those if you care about yourself at all. Go smash your jaw into the pavement at just 5mph and see how it feels and how many teeth you have left. But in the relative safety of a fully enclosed side by side with roll bars and a 5pt seat harness, a full face helmet is probably overkill. I wanted a lighter half helmet for that purpose but still a real DOT helmet that will save my melon if needed. This works great. To highlight a couple nice features: 1. The twisting adjustment knob at the back is great. Really snugs it up or loosens it as needed. 2. The strap is like a ratcheting with quick release. I hate on my full face helmet how long it takes to put off and on because of looping the strap thru the metal clasps and it’s a pain to quickly take on and off. With this quick setup on this helmet it literally takes half a second to throw your helmet on and off. Very nice. For sizing I might say these run a tad tad small. I normally wear a L helmet. But based on the measurements listed I ordered an XL and it fits great. With the knob at the back you can snug it up. I’d probably say if you are a little unsure what size or in between two sizes, to just go with the larger size. For the price this is a darn good helmet. I rarely use a half helmet (I prefer a 3/4 with a visor), but on the rare occasion that I wear one, this does a great job. It's comfy and sturdy and super sexy.

I followed the measurements recommendations from Vegs, and was high end of large, so ordered an Xl. It fits perfect. I'm amazed how light it is! I have been riding 40+ years, and have used many helmets over the years. The quick release chin strap is a cool feature, useful to. I test ride it and the helmet was like there was nothing on my head. The adjuster for the head is nice, I use a light weight cap under my helmet in cold weather. I really like it, the drop down visor is nice to have, just wish the stock one was clear, for me it will only be used in bad weather/rain for face protection. But it's there if needed, the lens is not distorted as some have reported. The graphics are nice, right up my alley. Really nice overall, when my wife is ready for a new helmet, she'll get a vega. ... show more

My head size is 22.9 inches so I’m right between the medium and large. I ordered both the large and medium. Because of the adjustment feature they both would work, but the medium is the one I chose. It was slightly tight, but fit perfect after a few trips as it formed to my head. The white color helmet is a beautiful pearl white and shimmers in the light. The micro helmet adjustment is great and for the life of me can figure out why anyone would buy a helmet with that archaic d ring nightmare. The smoke shield pulls down and goes up with ease. I also bought the clear shield here on amazon for night riding. The shield pulls straight out and the replacement goes in just as easily. 15 second job. I was worried the helmet would pull up at higher speeds, but that was not the case. The shield is invaluable and works fine with my prescription glasses. I would like to see the shield made slightly larger for more wind protection. I was expecting to return the helmet quite honestly being from a no name company, but the truth is I love it and is my favorite warm and cold weather helmet. I pair the helmet with an Alaskan Hardgear Gaitor to cover my face. I also love the fact that they support the product offering different color shields and ear pads.     • I hate scooter helmets, but this one is really good

Overall I don't like the look of helmets for scooter (think Vespa) drivers, but you MUST wear a helmet these days. While it still makes you look like a mushroom cap wearing it, from inside this VEGA helmet, it's pretty cool. First the fit is snug. I wear a medium in helmets, and this medium is definitely on the tighter side, so consider that if you're thinking about buying this helmet. I REALLY like the chin strap quick release and the disappearing tinted visor that can be pushed up and into the helmet when not in use. For a relatively inexpensive helmet this visor is free of distortion so it's very usable. What would make this helmet perfect? If you could unzip the ear covers sewn into the sides of the chin strap. I live in Florida so I'm betting this is going to be hot in the summer! Weight wise it's not bad. None of them are that light really, so this one doesn't weigh a ton, but it's not light either. Otherwise, the finish and workmanship are really top rate. I highly recommend this Vega Helmet. ... show more
