    • Surprised by the quality
I should start out by saying I Hate “engineered wood,” but there are times where it is Good Enough. My home office is one off those times. That said, I was surprised by the quality of this plastic and metal desk. It is sturdy, attractive, and manufactured with care. The screw holes are not just all there (this should NOT have to be mentioned but I’ve seen some things) but also have metal nuts embedded in the pieces to bolt into. You don’t have that tread stripping problem you can get with cheaper furniture. The pieces fit together correctly (again, should not have to be mentioned but you know…) and the directions were not difficult. I put this together myself within half an hour, with no tools but the Alan wrench that came with the desk. It looks good, and I’m very happy, especially considering the fantastic price. 😁 I even shopped this brand for my next pieces of furniture. ... show more

I desperately needed a new desk and my husband needed a desk so he got my old one and I got this one! It is beyond perfect very stable but definitely don't sit on it or stand on it because it will probably fall after a bit. Overall best and stylish desk I could have asked for. I love it

Pros and cons: I have purchased many Vasagle items over the years and overall for the money, the items have worked for us. The packaging is usually great and we have never received a damaged item. The instructions are usually good and as long as you pay close attention to where the holes are located you won't have any issues. For this desk in particular, there is not enough depth for my wfh setup. Once I had my keyboard set up with enough wrist support, my face was about 12" from my screens. Depth may be an issue for you if you are like me and have several monitors and need space for a box and cords behind. Although overall the desk is sturdy, it is somewhat wobbly- I feel as if my webcam may jiggle with minimal movement. ... show more

After a mishap with some neighborhood theft Amazon support sent out another desk. This time it was delivered directly to me I am so very grateful for the quick delivery. The set up took approximately 20 minutes, I made sure all the screws were aligned with their corresponding holes. By the time I flipped the desk over everything was flush and very sturdy. It looks like good quality and is definitely spacious, even amongst my clutter. We’ll see if it stands the test of time in the coming years. This desk is working out beautifully in our home office. My only complaint is the assembly of the corner connection. There is a step where four screws are used on each side, supposedly to connect two metal supports together (one metal support from the end piece, one from the corner piece). The screws only grip one side, and do not 'catch' or grip inside the holes drilled in the second metal piece. I followed the instructions to screw them in from the correct direction, and the screws are tightened into the first metal piece but sitting loosely inside the holes in the second metal piece. That does nothing to secure the two pieces together. I then tried reversing the process, inserting the screws into the loose holes first, hoping that by tightening them, they would 'catch' the tighter side; no luck, they were not long enough to function that way, either. Very strange - unless something was defective, I cannot understand how this was supposed to provide a sturdy connection? There are two additional screws that help to keep the pieces aligned, so, with those in place, once the desk was upright, it was able to be positioned in a way that it clearly is sturdy (no risk of coming apart or falling, etc.); but, I was disappointed in the engineering of this piece, since the rest of the matching furniture we bought from this manufacturer was pretty clever in the way they were assembled. One additional assembly note: the two metal end pieces must be assembled in the correct direction, with the holes for the back stabilizing bar facing toward the back of the unit. The instructions do not make this clear; I had to remove and reassemble those pieces when I realized there was a right and wrong direction for that part of the assembly. Overall - the desk itself is beautiful, functional, and roomy; it also accommodates the matching filing cabinet underneath it. I would buy this again, despite the assembly issues. The manufacturer should really review how those metal pieces are supposed to be secured together and improve that element! ... show more

    • A great desk
I was very skeptical of this brand because I had not heard of them before. This desk was my third purchase from them, I had bought two smaller items before this one. Each time I've assembled one of their products I've been amazed at how good looking and sturdy it is. This desk exceeded all expectations in both looks and structure. It has lots of room for a laptop, 3D printer and lots of other stuff. It is extremely solid and doesn't "wiggle" like I thought it would. It went together fairly quickly once I read the instructions. My advice to anyone buying this is to read the instructions fully before you start putting it together and pay attention to the leg orientation. It does help to have two people but I did it by myself by building the three sections and then bolting them together in the upright position. Also, once it's fully assembled and standing, go back and tighten every bolt again. I can't tell you how incredibly stable this makes the desk. ... show more
