I love Vans, I own 7 pairs at the moment. The only kind I have an issue with is the canvas white ones. I cannot, ever, keep them white. They get dirty, they're hard to clean, and when I'm finally forced to wash them, they change color. This white leather version solves that problem completely. It's much easier to keep clean, I just wipe it down after wearing them, and I honestly wish Vans offered more of their styles in leather like this one. That's actually why I bought these. I've gone through two pairs of canvas whites in the past year and got tired of replacing them. So far these leather ones are proving to be way easier to maintain. On top of that, the design is great. The puffy 3D sidestripe is a really cool feature, and the low-top look with the chunky laces gives them a nice retro edge. I love these shoes. They're comfortable too, good insoles, and they fit true to size. I wear a 12 and the 12 fits perfectly. The toe box isn't too narrow, but it doesn't feel too wide or awkward either. Love love love these shoes!! I haven't had a pair of Vans since probably highschool and these bring me back for real, they are so nostalgic for me! The sides and the tongue are super plus, I love the classic flat bottoms and they are very nice high quality shoes as expected. I did see others mentioning to size up and I'm so glad I did!! I'm usually a size 7.5-8.5 depending on the shoe type, so I sized up to 9 and am very happy I did because they fit perfectly. Like others mentioned I'm pretty sure they fit more snug because of how fat the tongue is, so I also recommend going a size up as well. The laces are extremely long so I had to knot them several times at the end so that's a little goofy lol but hey better than not having enough lace. Once tied up I'm able to just slip them on and off no problem, and when wearing them they stay on nice and sturdy. They have a nice weight to them, I like that they aren't too heavy but they also aren't so light to where they feel cheap. I usually don't spend a lot of money on shoes but for the price point I feel like these are very much worth it because I know they will last a very long time. I wear a size 7 but because Amazon claims these shoes are frequently sent back because they are tight I went up half a size. And so they fit perfect. What makes them tight is the shoe tongue it's so puffy. I think in time it will flatten out. But I am very pleased with this purchase.

These are amazing. Not only do they look awesome, but they also go with so many outfits. Not the most comfy, but the style of the shoe make up for that part. I was surprised when I saw the price had dropped to $50, and I can say these shoes are definitely worth that amount. They also fit pretty true to size(maybe a little smaller but it's not bad at all), and they definitely feel durable enough to last multiple school years. I wore vans all through middle and high school (2001-2007) and these are very much like the skater vans of that time. I purchased the green, and it wasn't quite true to color but close enough. the construction is about on par with a $110 pair of skate style shoe I saw in famous footwear and passed on. They have double stitched construction, good seaming, and I would actually say higher quality materials that other shoes in even slightly higher cost shoes. jury is still out on how accurate my assessment of construction is, as only time and wear can tell for sure, but I feel confident they will last a long while. My only complaint isn't really the shoe's fault but, those white wavy lines on the side of the shoe are 3D and the pictures dont really give an accurate depiction of how far they jut our from the side of the shoe... its a very odd design choice that, quite frankly, is so strange looking I'd call it ugly. but they are so comfortable and nicely made, that I am willing to overlook it and not go through the hassle to return them. I am a woman, and the shoe fit exactly as other men's 7.5 have fit me in the past, not sure why others have said they run small. If your a long time Vans wearer I don't think you will be disappointed by these shoes. loss of star is for inaccurate color representation and ridiculous 3D speed bumps attached the sidewalls o_O. ... show more
