Pictures of the shoes show leather material, and shoes are really canvas, so it is really confusing and I am not happy about the purchase, I want to return them.

    • Nothing can clean these, if you do, they rip.

Beautiful shoe at first. The type of canvas vans uses is different from say, converse. Any dirt gets caught deep in the thread particles, and even when home cleaning remedies such as peroxide and baking soda are used there are no way to remove the stains. Bleach isn't even an option with these. Toothpaste? Forget about it! The constant scrubbing to make them come clean causes the shoe to come apart at the toe, and at the bottom of the sole liner. I can keep these clean for about 4 weeks tops. Love the white tennis shoe look, but i'm going to opt for some soft pleather pumas next time around. If vans were actually the cheap skate shoes they used to be- they wouldnt be able to keep these on the shelf. For $50 I could live with buying a new pair a little over once every month. The white high tops are even harder to keep clean. ... show more
