I ordered a couple of pairs of the Vans Bearcat shoes because I'm getting back into skateboarding, and I've always loved Vans shoes. I got one of the p[airs I ordered, which was the black suede and gum sole. The other pair I ordered was supposed to be the all black canvas, but ended up being the gray suede Vans Ward with a gum sole. No worries, I still wore them. I ended up liking the look of the Wards better. One of the reasons is I have beefy ankles, so the puffier tongues tend to push up against my ankle more, and it just looks weird. The ward has a much flatter tongue, so they look more sleek when I'm wearing them. The only problem is that I don't entirely care for the gray suede Wards, and one of the options on the page for the Ward shoe was a black canvas shoe with the white Jazz Stripe and a gum sole, my favorite Vans color combination. They showed as perpetually out of stock on the Amazon Choice page. I scoured the internet, Vans outlets, weird foreign websites, and more, looking for the black and gum Ward. Nothing. I gave up in the end, and went to a Vans store and bought the Old Skool skateboard shoes in the same color scheme, black, white Jazz Stripe, and gum sole. After a while, I came across this listing. I didn't pay attention at first, as the title says Women's Low-Top Sneaker. I'm a dude, so I was not initially interested. Then upon further inspection, I found the exact style I was looking for, Black ((Canvas) Black/Gum 7hi) which is the men's Ward in black canvas, white Jazz Stripe, and gum sole. I ordered it, preparing for it to be a bust, and either be a woman's shoe, a counterfeit, or just the complete wrong model. It was the exact right model. I ordered a size 10, and it fits me perfectly, although it could be slightly wider. I also scanned the outer bar code, and it verifies that it is indeed an authentic Vans Ward shoe. A quick inspection of the outer rubber stripe and stamping on the sole also verified their authenticity. I'm incredibly happy that I now have the Old Skool skate shoes AND the Vans Ward for me to keep in rotation.

Cute style with no arch support. This shoe would be great for someone that is flat footed. I added an insert that had arch support and they are very comfortable.

I ordered these Vans, which were shipped to me in the Unites States from the UK. I was utterly shocked to see that they shipped the shoes to me only in the shoe box, which was literally falling apart when I removed it from my postal locker. I couldn't believe the shoes were still there. Thankfully they fit and no need to send back.
