these are vans. the shoe is great - no review needed in my opinion. but annoyed that I bought these as a Christmas gift for my son, but they arrived "loose" and not in a box, which is unusual for shoes... and annoying for wrapping.

I have an old pair of 8.5 slip on Checked Vans and ordered the same size in these but they are much smaller. I had to go 1.5 sizes
