I ordered another style of shoe and it was out of stock and it is still not in stock so I settled for this shoe. Sometimes things happen for a reason. I love this shoe. I wear an orthotic insole in all my shoes and this shoe easily accommodates the orthotic and the shoe is stylish. It looks great with jeans and it has a solid feel so I can use it for short hikes or long walks. Because I spend a lot of time outdoors and in casual wear, this shoe is a good choice. Love these shoes! Super simple, bright, and fun! Only downside is the white rubber around the bottom gets scuffed pretty quickly but it's easily manageable with some spray cleaner. They're also not the warmest shoes but that's expected due to the materials. It's very comfortable, and it came in less than a week. I suggest getting the exact size you wear for your other sneakers. Great for girls and guys! They also come with white laces. I got the ones with yellow laces, but the white came too for free. These are some fresh kicks. They are incredibly comfortable. They lace up so low on the foot that you really don't have to tie and untie them. They're basically slip ons. The only problem I can think of is that one round of frisbee in freshly cut grass stained the white rubber lower trim green.

Day one review: Got them about an hour ago. Super fast delivery! ordered them only day and a half ago! Getting them out of the box, they look amazing! Just like the picture. Definitely does NOT look cheap or anything. Trying them on, they fit! a teeny tiny bit small-ish but I'm sure after breaking them in they'll fit even better. I'll update the review in a couple weeks. So far I'm happy. 5 Stars! UPDATE 2018-03-06: It has been a while, but thought I would still update this review. By now I've already worn out these shoes, but back then I had to send them back because they were indeed too small. Ordered the same shows, just size 9.5 instead of 8.5. They lasted very well (they're still fine, just old). Nothing to add, they're great!

The only reason I'm not giving these shoes 5 stars is because the women's 10.5 that I ordered fit smaller than a womens size 10 in converse low tops. This is my first pair of vans, so I should have done more research on the exact sizing specifications. I love the color, love the quality, I love that they were delivered a week early, but I'm just upset that they don't fit like I expected them to. I'm going to either exchange them for an 11 or even an 11.5 because these are very tight! Or try my best to stretch them out. I stuck my big toes up in the last photo so you can see that my toes are touching the tip of the shoe. Also, I've included a side by side comparison of the vans size 10.5 and the converse size 10 (with tongue tag pictures as well).

I knew before I purchased these shoes that I would love them as I have the same pair in other colors....I purchased these again because nothing lasts as long, wears as well, feels as comfortable and fits my style as well. I only purchased black because my other two pairs have patterns and I sometimes want to wear these shoes when the patterns did not match. Perfect for walking, my favorite exercise. Fit as expected if you follow the ordering guidelines and buy your normal size. Vans builds a sturdy shoe that will last and feel more and more comfortable as time goes on. They look cute with shorts, with jeans and even with casual dresses. A true classic.

Old Skool and the best! When I was younger I used to race BMX back in the 80's wearing these shoes and now that I am older and could be a grandma, I continue to wear these shoes. I just love them and they fit true to size and look good with everything. They are very comfortable and long lasting and the bottom of the shoes are perfect and no slip, even on bear trap bike pedals.
