These are super comfortable Vans. I love how you see the checkerboards sometimes, and sometime not. Depends on the angle of your gaze. I think the Brooklyn Ls has a visibly thinner toe area, compared to OldSkool, but it doesn't feel that way. Lots of room for toes. Just a great looking and feeling model of Vans. Do it!. At 52 I finally got my first pair of vans. These jawns are awesome!!! Fit great and priced right. I love fun sneakers but since I’m a 14 I don’t go bright. These are more of a dull red so they don’t make my feet look any bigger than they already are. Comfortable in bare feet or with socks.
