These are more of a dull red so they donā€™t make my feet look any bigger than they already are. Comfortable in bare feet or with socks. These are super comfortable Vans. I love how you see the checkerboards sometimes, and sometime not. Depends on the angle of your gaze. I think the Brooklyn Ls has a visibly thinner toe area, compared to OldSkool, but it doesn't feel that way. Lots of room for toes. Just a great looking and feeling model of Vans. Do it!. I bought these shoes for working on my roof. The gum rubber sole really grabs those shingles and keeps be safe. But they are also very comfortable and I want to wear them often. Feels like my house shoes.
