I really appreciated that the top of the ankle in the back was also cushioned to prevent blisters or torn skin when breaking in new sneakers. They fit perfectly and are lightweight for all day wear. I'm not the kind of person to typically spend $75 on pair of shoes. Mainly because they're not usually better quality than cheaper brands. But in this case, these Vans were definitely worth the money. The canvas is thick and nicely tailored and even though these don't have the "Skate" line gel insoles and have less padding under foot, they are surprisingly very comfortable. In fact, I like to feel the ground under my feet but yet these aren't "hard".
