I really wanted to love Valentino Donna Born in Roma Purple Melancholia, especially because purple is my favorite color, so I’ll admit I was already a little biased in its favor. I also absolutely love that they brought back the iconic glass bottle style for the travel size. It feels luxe and collectible, which I appreciate. That said, this isn’t my favorite flanker from the line. I know many people have professed their love for it, and that’s completely valid since we all have different tastes and body chemistry. But for me, this one sadly missed the mark. It’s not bad by any means, but for me it’s just okay. Nothing I’d run after or feel excited to reach for. I was somewhat disappointed because I expected to love it more than I did. Although still beautiful, it's just not my personal standout. ... show more
