Description

Double Black vinyl LP pressing. 2018 release. Noted for their hypnotic melodies, visceral bass-lines and tidal rhythm, the music of Manchester-based leftfield piano trio GoGo Penguin has been described as acoustic-electronica but they draw equally on rock, jazz and minimalism, game soundtracks and glitchy-electronica to create their unique music. Originally released in March 2014, v2.0, was their breakthrough album and was named a Mercury Prize album of the year. The v2.0 Deluxe Edition is the first time that the entire sessions will be released in physical format.

  • Shipped well.
Great album, amazing time signatures in this modern jazz, trip hop trio. So happy I picked this up. Condition shipped was perfect.

  • The likes you've never heard before!
Love this trio! All are more than proficient, and together they gel, (and wail!), to produce an eclectic, singular sound ...which the likes of you've probably never heard before! Outstanding!

Buy this album on vinyl! The bass comes through so much clearer. Great album.

  • Meh
I saw a few youtube videos of this band and it made me curious. I should not have bought the album though because it just isn't interesting. Take the Bad Plus and E.S.T.... remove all edge and groove... serve between two slices of Wonder bread (or cardboard) and you'll have this album. If melatonin or Tylenol PM don't work for you this will definitely put you to sleep. ... show more
