I ordered a set of these shortly after recieveing my V-Moda Crossfade headphones. I was very impressed with the quality build of the headphones which set my expectations for the XL Cushions very high. It's a solid upgrade from the original cushions that came with the headphones but ultimately this is what I found. The fit is much more comfortable with these XL Cushions. Yes, they could definitely still be bigger for sure but for $20 it's no big deal. I would have given 5 stars but I was expecting the cushions to be a little better than they are. They work well and are comfortable but I guess I was expecting them to feel like other cushions I have had in the past that were super soft and seemed like they had some kinda memory foam in them. These aren't quite like that. But again they work well! I would definitely recommend these. I was wearing the headphones for +6hrs with the original cushions and it was alright. Minor soreness around the tips of my ears. That's basically a thing of the past now though. I would buy these again if something happened to the set I have now if that says anything.

I've had my V-Moda Crossfades for almost 2 years now and I could hardly wear them. They really hurt. Too much clamping force for my XL head. And the thin pad allowed my ears to contact the drivers. I only kept them because they were a gift. So just as a last ditch effort. Before sending them to be Recycled. I decided to try these pads... What a difference! Mind you ears don't fit inside the pads completely. But the drivers no longer touch my ears. And these pads moderate the clamping force just enough to make the Headphones usable. And not just for a short time. I'm simply delighted! And feel that this is the best $20+ purchase I've made in a long, long, time. I may even purchase another pair just to have as backups. _______________________________________________ Notes on installation: I used a small flat tip screw driver to pop the old pads loose. Then I just snapped the new pads in place. It took me longer to clean the ear wax from the driver than any other part of this installation.

TLDR: SHUT UP, STOP THINKING ABOUT IT, AND JUST BUY THEM! THANK ME LATER! LONG VERSION: I have used my V-Moda Crossfades for about two years with stock ear cushions. They worked, and I really didn't buy into the "better comfort" hype from advertisers pages for replacement cushions. I didn't find them uncomfortable.... until I began wearing glasses. THEN, my friends, they became uncomfortable after only an hour of wearing! After hem-hawing around for a couple of months, I decided to bite the bullet and purchase these cushions. I am SO glad that I did! They feel like little clouds on my ears!!!! The discomfort of wearing headphones with glasses has VANISHED! I have worn them for 6 to 8 straight hours with little to NO fatigue! No headaches! No temple soreness!!! the sounds, though, seems a bit 'further away', but that might be due to the fact that they are actually further from the ears! a couple centimeters does change the sound stage, but to me, it's not for the worst. It's just "different". I still enjoy my Crossfades, and I don't plan on changing them out for something else any time soon! Especially after getting these cushions!

I thought these would help with the common vmoda ear pain but these only make it worse. The speaker area is built with a hump that touches the head despite the padding and it's wayyy worse with these. I have small ears, but even so, the original pads make vmoda crossfades on ear. These make them over ear and so the speaker hump hurts more, especially if you wear glasses, as the sides are more pressed down with the xl pads. It makes wearing sunglasses unbearable.I hope vmoda decides to make regular sized replacement pads with just a thicker cushion instead of wider. You can lessen the headset tension by stretching the set overnight.

These make near perfect set of wireless headphones, even more so. Originals: 58mm Height 31mm width 20mm depth XLs: 67mm height 43mm width 25mm depth Note that measuring cushions is not an exact science and should probably be given a +/-1mm variance. The height and width measurements are of the inner aperture. The ones I purchased (pictured) are the gray ones. The install was a bit tricky due to the design of the retention system, but it does ensure that they will stay put once attached. Note that there are no instructions provided with the new cushions or the headphones themselves on how to change these. I cringed slightly as I removed the first one, fearing I might damage something. My 4 vs 5 star rating is to reflect this as well a fairly steep price given what these are ($18 USD, November 2018).

See photos. Black came with my Wireless Crossfades; grey are the new XL pads. They’re definitely “thicker”, but not larger in circumference (they’re actually about the same circumference if not slightly smaller)! They’re super easy to put on - kudos to V-MODA for making this process very easy. As for comfort, I wear glasses and I do find the XL pads slightly more comfortable than the stock. Are they worth $20 USD? That’s debatable, but I’ve spent far more on a crappy lunch, so I suppose it’s hard to complain. Those who only wear their headphones for an hour or less will do well to just keep the stock pads, but anyone who wears them longer than an hour or have to use glasses will appreciate the XL’s.
