I ordered the Sun Protection Compression Arm Sleeves to protect my arms when I’m outdoors gardening or doing yard work. I realize people usually order them for compression when they play sports but my football days are behind me. I was looking for a solution to (1) protect my arms from sun damage and (2) prevent scratches from branches and weeds when I’m working in the yard. I think these were a good solution. They are comfortable and easy to use and they are thin enough to stick in your pocket when you’re not wearing them. They also protect well. So I ordered these arm sleeves not for sports activities but for my gardening needs. I am allergic to grass when it touches my skin. It makes my skin have small rash spots. Since its to hot to wear long sleeves during the Summer months. It leave me no choice but to wear short sleeve T-shirts. So when I saw these compression sleeves. I figured this would be a good replacement as a long sleeves shirts. These sleeves made my gardening and trimming grass easier and offers me protection. Also it offers protection from the Sun UV rays. Also it keeps my arms cool and sweat free. Which is amazing. The minute I stop moving the sleeves feel cool and dry. Love these. These still slip on men's arms. It has a silicon grip at the top, but the fabric is not small enough to stay on. These sleeves appear to be made for people with larger arms. Otherwise, the quality is decent.

    • Great arm protectors. Surprisingly effective.
Never having use arm protectors, I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but after developing an issue, I needed something that would provide a little compression and insulated by arm from ice packs. These are perfect. The compression is nice, not too much, and the sleeves don't stretch out. They have grips near the top, which keeps them in place. I was worried I'd be constantly pulling them up, but its easy to forget they are on. They also insulate well so I can apply ice packs without wrapping them in a towel, etc. The surprising part is just how well the cooling effect if. I didn't expect that. They are smooth and slinky, and it definitely creates a feeling of "cooling". Highly recommended. ... show more

This item is not the same in the picture. I live in Arizona. It’s very hot here wearing this item felt like a wool sock on my arm. It was not cooling at all. I could feel the heat penetrating through to my skin. I’m not even sure if it’s UV protecting. I have a sun allergy so it is slather on the sunscreen if I need to go outside. Thought I would try these, instead this last weekend. I liked the cooling sensation. I did not get a sunburn at all through the thin material. The only thing I wasn't sure was 100% comfortable was the elasticy material that keeps them in place on your upper arm. These are very nice, well-constructed sleeves. Definitely breathable so whether you're working your arms are not going to get overheated. I wore them while running and they were extremely comfortable. The fact that they have rubber grip is nice because I never had I the need to adjust them on my run due to sweat. I also where them around the amusement park and they were very comfortable. The length of the sleeves was fine for me, but they were too long for my wife to try. The length of the sleeves is about 17" so you can guess that if you're of a certain height, these sleeves are not for you. ... show more
