Ordered these LEDs to replace an incandescent G8 two-prong bulb. I prefer the bright 6000k daylight white lights that help me see more clearly in my old age. These bulbs certainly do that. They respond to the high-low-off light control on the microwave as dimmable bulbs should. I wasn’t concerned with the description about replacing old 50W bulbs (mine were only 25). Lower wattage ratings were necessary because of the heat generated by the old-style bulbs, but these only draw 5 watts and run cool. So, I went for the brightness and wasn’t disappointed, keeping in mind I could use them on a lower setting if I found them brighter than I needed. Small LED bulbs are sometimes a bit pricey, but these are a good value at $10. ... show more

My new LG over-the-range microwave (MVEL2033F) had a yellowish incandescent G8 bulb that did not match with the daylight color temperature of the LED lights I have under my cabinets. This LED replacement bulb fixed that issue! It is definitely whiter than the old bulb it was replacing, and more in line with the lights I have under my cabinets, although I can't vouch for the specific color temperature. No issues so far. The construction of the bulb appears to be of decent quality and it was plug-and-play - no flickering, and it changes brightness with the "high" and "low" toggle buttons on the microwave.
