These are the best LED bulbs that I have tried yet! I mean, no kidding, the light one of these gives off is nearly identical to the light that the 50 watt G8 halogen bulb produced! And then, my microwave light just has two brightness settings. High and low. But I couldn't use the low brightness setting with the last LED bulbs I tried, because they would flicker on the low setting. Well, not these! They work just fine on both settings. Best of all though, one of these bulbs is only using 5 watts instead of the 50 watts that the halogen was using. AND, it isn't near as hot as the halogen bulb was. As you can see in my pictures, the temperature of the halogen bulb was always over 230℉, while this LED bulb always stays below 100℉. What I don't get is, these big companies like GE, Samsung, and LG, are always professing how they care about reducing energy use and being sustainable, yet they sell us microwaves with a light bulb that uses as much energy as half of the light bulbs in my whole house, COMBINED! So I did some investigating, and this is why they continue to use halogen bulbs for the cooktop lights in their microwaves. Apparently, it's because of the extreme heat generated by cooktops. Halogen bulbs handle high temperatures and provide the bright, dimmable task lighting required for stovetops, whereas traditional LEDs frequently fail or melt when exposed to stove heat. So there you have it. And that's all the more reason to use LED bulbs with a glass cover like these. Because their glass covers are going to provide way better heat resistance than the plastic covers that many other LED bulbs use. Of course, only time will tell as to how reliable these bulbs are going to be and how long they're going to last. For now though, I don't have any complaints about them, and I would definitely recommend DUMILOO's 50W equivalent G8 glass LED microwave bulbs to anyone who is considering getting them!

These are very bright and truly equivalent to the halogen 50 W G8 and the housing seems reasonably well constructed. The LED panel is a 360° panel, but the edge/seam runs long and sticks out a little (NBD)... my gripes are, for "soft white" its color temp is too high. They are dimmable with no flicker, however the "dim" mode is only slightly dimmer than high (ie, barely dimmer than high). Otherwise good fit, good brightness...

These are great. I like the glass cup over the led lights. Very professional, and easy to clean. Some of the halogen bulbs, you have to be careful not to get your fingers on the bulb, because the oils from you fingers can shorten the life of the bulb. Not these!
