  • Great Case with a Surprising Amount of Storage Space!
Style: Silver Grey-larger Carrying Case for Ste...
I was looking for a cheap case that I could use to store my Steam Deck OLED around the house when I was not using it. The requirements were that the case must be able to store my SD with the protective case on and also store the majority of accessories I regularly use with it. These requirements were troublesome for other carrying case brands as they either did not fit the SD with the protective case on, or they were limited in the amount of accessories they could hold. I came across this case with a rather intuitive design that allowed for extra storage space in the way of cutouts under what the manufacturer is referring to as "EVA removable holders". These are the foam inserts that are molded for the SD's grips/triggers and help hold the SD up from the bottom where the storage space is. The storage space inside this case is surprisingly a lot. With only a few modifications made to the foam inserts by cutting them with a razor knife, I was able to store my folding keyboard, powerbank, earbuds, USB-C hub, charging cable, and USB-C extensions. After taking the photographs attached to this review, and playing a bit of "Tetris", I was able to store a small dock inside in place of the USB-C hub. Everything fits without issues and seems to stay in place when the case is closed. No sliding around. While other carrying cases I've tried do not fit the SD with a protective case on, I have found that this particular carrying case not only accommodates the MEPATEM brand protective case I am using, but also accommodates it with the protective front cover snapped on. The MEPATEM case is similar to the Killswitch and JSAUX variations, so I would imagine those others will also fit into this carrying case without any issues; especially considering the MEPATEM case is a bit larger than both the Killswitch and JSAUX. With the protective front cover snapped on, I have no concerns about damaging the SD while inside this case. Without the protective front cover, the SD's thumbsticks fit nicely into the molded top of this carrying case with no concerns of pressure while still holding it firmly in place. Shaking the case around while zipped up resulted in no obvious movement from inside. With everything inside, including the snap-on plastic cover to my SD's case, it zips up without any stress or tension visible around the seams and zipper. This case then tucks nicely into my nightstand where it stays most of the time until I'm ready to play. While I was strictly looking for a case to store my SD inside the house, and not so much for travel (I have a much sturdier "Pelican" style case for that), I would be comfortable in using this case for both. It is sturdy enough to use on its own and could easily fit inside a backpack or other small bag without concerns of it being crushed (especially with the hard plastic cover it's able to accommodate). If I had to make one gripe about it, it would be the strap for the handle itself. Other cases use thicker material for their straps and have much better stitching attaching it to the case. The strap and stitching on this case are a bit thin, and while it has not been a problem for me with this case, I could see some issues with repeated use over time. Thankfully it comes with a sturdier shoulder strap as an alternative means of carrying it. Overall, I can definitely recommend this case for protecting your Steam Deck; especially if you are looking for one that can store more of your accessories and accommodate your SD with a protective case on it. The price point it's being sold at is fair considering what you get when compared to the alternatives in this same price range. ... show more

  • Perfect case!
Style: Silver Grey-larger Carrying Case for Ste...
Fits my travel keyboard, mouse, dock, and adapter. This case is truly perfect. There’s also no branding on the case, just the basic grey color which I love.

  • Good case with minor flaw
Style: Dark Grey-super Carrying Case for Steam ...
There is plenty of storage, probably the most compared to any other case of the same design. The case is made to accept Steam Decks with protective cases. The case is about as durable as any of the other similar looking cases. The mesh pocket is in a useful spot and the opening is facing up so items don't fall out when it's opened. One flaw, not a deal breaker for me, is that the cut out hole for the left thumbstick is not centered over it. There seems to be enough room that it rarely interacts with the stick, but sometimes it does and I have to readjust the cover, or slide the deck to fit better. Solid 4 stars because the pros outweigh the cons. ... show more

  • Good but can be better.
I want to love this case but the one problem i have with it is that the pocket for the joysticks aren't as deep and wide as the original steam deck case. So when closing the case, it feels as though the joy sticks aren't resting dead center but at a slight angle being push by the case since the pocket isn't as deep and wide as the original case. The reason why i say that is because when closed, just a slight pressure on top of the case causes the joy stick to click. Makes it feel as though the top part of the case isn't as hard and sturdy enough to protect the deck if heavy pressure is applied. I try testing out on the original case and it requires more effort and pressure to cause the joy sticks to clicks. Even just the act of closing the top part of the case before zipping it up causes the joy sticks to click with this case and it doesn't feel as hard compare to the original deck case. It feels as if you gotta close the case perfectly in order for it to sit flush and dead center or else the joysticks will be resting at a slight angle because the joysticks pocket isn't wide and deep enough. All this is because of the flap that's suppose to cover the accessories compartment from the deck. I tried testing it out by putting the flap over the deck and the clicking stop since there's more room for the deck to breathe but you're not suppose to do that because the bottom side of the flap is rough and scratches the screen and now you're leaving your bottom side of the deck exposed to all your accessories to rough up your deck bottom side. But when you're using the flap as intended, the deck doesn't really have any breathing room when closing. If you're just using this as a storage at home, then it's great because the under storage is awesome. If you're thinking about using this as a travel case for your deck, you'll have to try it to see if it's up to your standard. Me personally, I'll pick something else, even going with the original case and pack the accessories separately if traveling because the top part of this case just doesn't feel hard and sturdy enough to do the job for me. ... show more

  • A good upgrade from the steam deck carrier
Style: Silver Grey-larger Carrying Case for Ste...
Fits perfectly with my steam deck silicone protective casing on, no adjustments needed. Fully closes with the silicone case on, also fits my gulikit controller no problem as test run with case fully closed. I'm glad I bought this it has enough room for my external ssd, my dock, charger, an possibly my gulikit if I were traveling with it. All in all I'm very happy with my purchase. ... show more

  • Mostly fit Asus ROG Ally
Style: Dark Grey-super Carrying Case for Steam ...
Got it for my Ally hoping it would fit and it does. There is an imprint inside shaped for the steam deck, but the ally had no trouble still fitting in even with the offset thumbsticks. Edit: After a week of use, I think overall I liked it, but would feel much more comfortable with something that fit the Ally more. For a steam deck, I think it's perfect for the size. ... show more
