I have been looking for a stand-alone clothes shelf that will let me fold clothes in half once and then stack them. A lot of free-standing closets aren't wide enough and assume you are folding clothes twice so they don't need as wide of a shelf. After a lot of searching, I came across this and figured it was cheap enough to be worth a shot. I cannot express how much better this is than I was expecting. I saw other reviews talking about how customizable it was, but I wasn't confident that I could go off book without messing something up. Well, I started out following the directions to make the shelves themselves, then realized I didn't like how close together the shelves were, and before I knew it I had gone off book and had improvized a closet that perfectly matched my needs and fit my space. My only recommendation: Since the shelves themselves are just bars, I found that clothes kind of half fell through when I put them on. BUT there's a super simple fix. Go to walmart and buy their plastic placemats for less than $2 each. They fit perfectly on the shelves, make it so nothing can fall through, and give you a chance to add some color/style to the shelf itself. ... show more

If you've ever played "pick-up-sticks", this is your game! It's crazy assembly because there are so many parts, but in the end it's worth it. Not super sturdy, but well suited for a closet or against a wall secured. You could arrange a few shelves to fit your need and that's what I like the most. Plenty of room for all sorts of items and depth of shelving is better than I thought it would be. Isn't everything better when you see it firsthand? I read the reviews before purchase. I liked you could customize as I live in an RV. I adapted the design to fit my space and I am very happy. I believe the design, and proper use of the mallet enclosed are key to the sturdiness. I am on disability and was able to put this together within a day by myself. For those without disabilities this would be a piece of cake to put together. It looks neat and organized and really worked for me. It was also a great product for the price! ... show more

The manual started off well but left me quite confused. Had to try complete it on my own. Was expecting it to be more sturdy for the value but when I picked up the box and felt how light weight it was I was heartbroken before I even started.

I wasn't expecting much from this, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this organizer. You get the Lego building blocks of organization in this thing. There's different sized metal rods, connectors, a little rubber mallet, white gloves (idk why but they're in there), and some smaller hardware like connectors to make angles and plugs. This is a problem for my wallet. I'm absolutely obsessed. I've already ordered two more of these, and in all honesty, they won't be enough. I fully expect that I'll be using these in nearly every room of my house. I'm going to finally be able to walk through my garage without acquiring a mysterious bruise. I've already got one in my kid's closet, and used the leftovers to organize my coffee and tea collection, free up some space in my kitchen, and make a shelf to hold canned cat food. Yup.
