U.S. XL / China 3XL; sleeves are too long, body too wide and long. Runs large compared to the size chart. Medium-weight fabric, looks like denim but softer. It doesn’t stretch. Color matches the pictures, a faded/off-black. No washing instructions inside; listing suggests hand wash, origin: China, and mentions polyester (30% spandex in another spot). Despite the sizing, it's comfortable and usable, with roll-up sleeves. A wash might improve fit.

For starters, I am a cook in a restaurant, but I’d honestly never dream of wearing this in my kitchen - at least in Florida. I do however love this little coat as street wear. It looks wicked, denim feels like quality denim, and it’s just a unique combo you’d never think of getting. I will say however, if you teeter between two sizes depending on brand, like I’m a M or L, go with the lower size. I got L, and a medium definitely would’ve sufficed. They run a little bit. No matter, that’s on me. 5/5 really cool over coat.

I have always loved the button style of chef coats and when I saw this one, black denim, I could not resist. As you can see in the picture, I have it on over a hoodie, and I like the look of it. The material itself is a very lightweight denim. I have a regular denim shirt, and this is the same weight. I got the XL, and it is very loose, loose enough I could have easily gone with the large, if not even the medium. There is a downside to this coat, and it is one that is hard to overlook. The strong chemical smell. We have washed it with laundry soap. We soaked it and ran it through a hot dryer. We are now trying the baking soda trick. If this does not work, we'll try a couple more ideas, but after that if the smell does not go away, the coat will have to. The smell is like either an extreme dose of dry cleaner chemicals, or my daughter says it smells like jeans, meaning a strong dye odor. I can say it is strong enough that when I first tried it on I had on a tank and ended up having to shower as the smell permeated into my skin. After another soak, and the picture above, the sweatshirt I have on now smells of a chemical smell. If any of the tricks, baking soda, or white vinegar work, I will update this review.

I love this shirt/jacket! I love the fading blue color. I love the loose twill denim weave. I love the straight, rollup sleeves with tabs. I love the hip length and straight bottom cut. I love the Mandarin collar. I love the off set front placket that closes with riveted fasteners. I love how soft it feels after machine washing and tumble drying. I love how this shirt/jacket is so different that no one else will have one this cool and stylish and different. I will be upcycling this shirt/jacket with artsy applique and embroidery. Will embellish it with laces and trims and beads. I love this shirt/jacket and its versatility. DENIM LIKE YOU'VE NEVER WORN BEFORE

The style is good. The design is new. The jacket does not show what percent of material is made of and washing instructions. It is made in China. It is comfortable. I still recommend it for any males.

I thought this jacket would have a stiffer feel because it is made of denim, but I was happy to find that it is actually very soft with a worn-in feel to it. The sleeves roll up easily and have the room to do so because they have a straight cut without tapering. The asymmetrical front closure is stylish, and the buttons are sturdy. I love the look of this, and practically the denim is long-wearing as well as styiish. It is a double win.
