I want to provide honest feedback for buyers to make the best buying decision for themselves. As you read this review, keep in mind that despite the honesty in this review, I still rate this item and this seller 5 stars for being good value for the price and for the professional customer service. It is a long story ahead, if you don't feel like reading all of it, feel free to skip to the short version at the end of the review below. I purchased this item on 2 separate occasions, both times from the same seller. The first purchase (Aug 2025) was one jacket in the dark grey option. At the time, the item was $13.60 with tax/shipping. The first order arrived fairly quick after ordering, received about 2 weeks from purchase date. Note, this is being shipped to Hawaii from China and goes through customs, so this is fairly quick as shipping to and from Hawaii can be lengthy at times. My wife was using this jacket about 16-20hrs a week with washes in between, being laundered about 2-3 times a week from Aug 2025 to Jun 2026. I use cold wash on delicate setting and most times I hang dry this item, although I have put it in the dryer a handful of times on low heat and it has not impacted the item quality so far. The jacket is made of a light weight material that has a cotton feel to it, although I am sure it is a blend featuring polyester as there is a mesh portion on the back top shoulder area. This is a nice feature that helps with cooling. The material has nice stretch to it. There is no info tag on the inside of the garment that has care instructions or material content and there are stray threads which are not a big deal and easy to remove, but wanted to mention as this may bother some people. My wife is 4'11", curvy women's size 12, busty DD top, size XL worked for her. The jacket comes with a little patch sewn on the front pocket, which is alright but not her preference. I was able to easily remove the patch with a seam ripper without any damage to the jacket. Included with this review, close up picture of the pocket where the patch used to be, can't even tell it was there. I am pretty experienced in removing tags and patches, but I feel like a beginner with patience could remove it successfully as well. My wife used this jacket for several months and found it very comfortable and liked the look of the jacket. Also, the quality had not degraded much over the length of time that it was being used (7 months), so we decided to purchase more. I placed another order for 3 of the same jacket style, 1 dark grey and 2 black, on 3/9/26. The shipping cost increased since my last order in Aug 2025 from $4.99 to $10.49 per item, total price with tax ended up being $21.96 per jacket. As someone who deals with shipping and logistics on a regular basis for work, I have experienced the rise in shipping costs due to all the current events in the world impacting shipping costs across the board. Keep in mind that even though there was an $8.36 price increase from my previous order placed in Aug 2025, I still purchased the item due to the value. $21.96 for a durable, comfortable chef jacket is a great budget friendly option as most chef jackets are priced higher than that. This order unfortunately got lost in transit, however, the seller was the one to bring this issue to my attention on 3/26/26 The seller kindly offered to ship out a replacement order that was shipped out 3/31/26. I wanted to give this shipment some time as I figured the larger package may take longer to get through customs. I reached out to the seller on 5/18/26 to let them know that I had still not received the replacement order. Seller promptly responded that the package was lost and that they would issue a refund which I received shortly after the seller's response. Due to the promptness and professionalism of the seller's customer service, once I received the refund notification, I placed another order for the same items on 5/18/26. I was pleased to find that it was slightly cheaper, $21.23 per jacket. I received this order on 6/5/26 and am very satisfied to find that these items are the same in quality as the previous jacket ordered. The black version feels slightly stiffer than the dark grey, but overall quality is the same. If I could go back in time, I would have ordered 4 jackets to begin with. Since it was so cheap, I was skeptical of the quality and wanted to test one out before committing to more, but I ended up missing out on a fantastic deal as I do not forsee this item selling for that low of a price again. I am including photos of the brand new jacket received 6/5/26 (left side in pic) next to the 9 month old jacket (right side in pic) and there is barely any difference aside from the older jacket being softer now that it's worn in. Short version: If you are looking for a budget friendly, durable chef jacket that is good quality for the price, save yourself some shipping time and buy multiple jackets for your first order. In 7 months from my original Aug 2025 purchase, this item increased from $13.60 to $21.23, a $7.63 increase, and yet I still purchased 3 more due to the item being such great quality for the price. You know something is good if someone is willing to pay that much of a price increase for an item. Let the pictures attached show the durability as a well worn 9 month old jacket still looks fairly new. Even though I experienced delays due to shipping issues, the seller resolved this issue in a prompt and professional manner and I would gladly order from this seller again in the future.
