  • Great Fit, Super Comfortable, and Perfect for Everyday Wear!
Size: 38W x 30L Color: Black
I recently picked up the Unionbay Rainier Chino Pants, and I’ve been really impressed with the quality for the price. The material is lightweight yet durable — perfect for casual days, travel, or even light hiking. They have just enough stretch to move comfortably without feeling tight or baggy. The fit is spot on — slim but not skinny, with a modern cut that still feels relaxed. The waistband sits just right, and they look clean enough to dress up with a button-down, but casual enough to wear with a T-shirt or hoodie. The fabric also repels a bit of water and dries quickly, which is a huge plus if you’re outdoors or traveling. The zippered pocket is a nice touch for keeping your phone or wallet secure. Overall, these pants punch way above their price point. If you’re looking for something versatile, comfortable, and easy to care for, the Unionbay Rainier Chinos are a fantastic choice. I’ve already bought a second pair in another color! ... show more

  • Amazing travel pants!
Size: 34W x 32L Color: Charcoal
I purchased these for a trip to Italy. Amazing pants! Amazing pants! They are soft comfortable and stretch. They are not too slim and not too baggy. The zippered pockets are wonderful for deterring pickpockets. They are just the right weight 3 season pants. You can wear them hiking, but you can also wear them out for a nice casual dinner. If you get caught in the rain, they dry very quickly and are very comfortable when wet. I washed a pair in my hotel room and they were dry the next day. Amazing pants! ... show more

  • Good Travel and Everyday Pants with a Few Trade-offs
Size: 32W x 30L Color: Black
Good Travel and Everyday Pants with a Few Trade-offs The Unionbay Rainier Chino Pants strike a nice balance between comfort, utility, and casual style. The nylon-spandex blend feels lightweight, dries quickly, and has enough stretch to move easily whether you’re on a plane, hiking, or just running errands. The UPF 50 rating and water resistance are useful bonuses for outdoor wear. I also appreciate the secure zippered pockets—they give peace of mind for holding a wallet, phone, or passport when traveling. That said, the pants aren’t perfect. The fabric runs thin, which keeps them cool but may limit durability if you’re kneeling or working on rough surfaces. Fit is generally good, but they can feel looser in the seat and leg than expected, which may not suit everyone. Also, while they look fine for casual settings or golf, they don’t quite pass for true dress pants. Bottom line: A versatile, lightweight, and comfortable option for travel, summer wear, or casual work, but don’t expect heavy-duty durability or a sharply tailored look. Solid value at the sale price. ... show more

  • Highly recommended for hot-climate travel
Size: 38W x 34L Color: Black
I needed casual pants that were lightweight, looked decent, were comfortable on airplanes, and were easy to wash/rinse in my hotel room. I have learned that denim jeans and khakis can be miserably hot in subtropical climates, so I decided to try this nylon/spandex fabric. I bought a pair of these that were too long (my size was not available) and had them hemmed locally. Paired with a golf shirt, they were perfect for two trips to Asia including India, Thailand and Cambodia. There is a zippered pocket on the right leg that is perfect for keeping a passport secured from pickpockets, and the zippered hip pocket did the same thing for my wallet. I didn't encounter any rainstorms, but the fabric is far more water-repellent than cotton, and it's very breathable. It can wrinkle a bit when packed, but they don't show. The fabric is stretchy, which helps comfort when worn on long flights. And finally, the pants are lightweight, helping me avoid having to check my luggage. I also traveled with a pair of "Columbia Men’s Silver Ridge Cargo Pants, Moisture Wicking, Sun Protection," which are about $10 more. They also worked out well, but lack the passport pocket. ... show more

  • Great value, comfort. The black ones. Skip the khaki and gray.
Size: 38W x 32L Color: Black
I read a web review elsewhere of "Best travel trousers" where they recommended this brand as an economy option compared to their (WAY more expensive) favorites. I ordered a pair, liked them a lot, made sure they survived a washing or two, and have since ordered several more pairs in various colors. They've got just enough stretch to make them easy to wear and move in, the back pockets are zippered (NOT half velcro'd like some others) and they're generally rugged but don't look like hiker trou. I've worn them while doing some light construction work and worn them to nice restaurants w/o attracting any weird looks. Very pleased. UPDATE: Actually my review is for the black trousers. The khaki version of the same trousers, same size, are awful. Completely different fit, baggy and ridiculous-looking, they stretch out everywhere. The legs? OMG, lash me to the mast in a high wind and you don't need sails. At least until they fall down around my ankles, which they threaten do do, constantly. The charcoal colored ones aren't much better. I do like the black ones I originally bought. A LOT. So much so that I'm about to order another pair, in the hopes that they're the same cut and material. Otherwise, they're going back. ... show more

  • Good look and good feel but questionable quality - arrived with gap in the leg seam
Size: 32W x 30L Color: Khaki
I love the look and feel, but the product arrived with a 2" split in the inner seam of the left leg :( Will update the review if my replacement pair seems to be of better quality material

  • Good extra pocket daily pants.
Size: 34W x 30L Color: Charcoal
I got these as a replacement for my Wrangler ATG cargo pants. THey’re very similar, 5 pockets, but the Unionbay pants back pockets both have zippers: important to me when I travel or am out and about. They washed up well (no wrinkles), but haven’t had them long enough to know if they’ll be sturdier than the Wrangler ATG’s. The ATG’s pilled after about 6 months, and pairs in the past have worn out in the crotch first. I’ll be looking to see how sturdy and long lasting these are. The price on these was fair, comparable to the ATG’s. The color I got is what I wanted (dark grey), and no loose stitches. All hemwork was even, and fit in the waist was good. While I’ll have to see how well they last over the summer, these could be my new go-to dailies. ... show more
