The upper shelf is surprisingly sturdy. I worried that it would not be able to hold any heavy bottles, but the only limitation is how much clearance there is above it. The drawer moves smoothly even when loaded and comes with pins to hold it stationary if you choose to have it as a shelf only. Average. I probably would not buy again. It’s not sturdy, you have to be very gentle pulling the bottom shelf out. It’s kind of flimsy. I’m keeping it because it helps organize the cabinet under the sink and it fits the limited space. Plus not worth taking apart to return. The drain pipe is in the middle and bends and there are some lines that are also in the way. If you can fit it, use Rev-a-shelf brand. Very happy with those two tier shelving units. ... show more
