I spend hours on my feet and these help with the fatigue and discomfort that usually hits me. I've been at the same job for years and have learned the value of good footwear. I've learned to just accept buying a new work boot once a year or so. By the time my feet start hurting it's time to replace them. I'm a big heavy guy, so these shoes are the same. Very comfortable and good support for about of year. I see a lot of reviews pointing out wear and tear around the sides of the show and that's accurate due to the light covering material they apply in those areas but the show is still intact just worn. It depends entirely on how much you bang them up. My current pair is over the year mark and I only have minor scuffs and wear, you couldnt even tell from a distance. I'm about to order a new pair. For anyone wondering, these are airport friendly.

Ordered a size 11.5 Only issue I’ve had with it is the laces being finicky, they come undone a lot with low resistance but they’re super comfy and don’t weigh a ton. End of the day I take them off and my feet feel great.

Perfect fitting boot ;no break in period right out of the box!! I worked for the Federal Bureau of Prisons and this boot was a favorite among officers that have to walk the concrete floors and compound all day. It is very comfortable and lightweight if you have to respond to emergencies. Just one note: At the end of each day take the foot lining out and allow it to air dry because if not foot moisture will trap under the foot lining and cause mold and odor. Please do this. One more tip: I know the boot is not made of leather but hit it off with black Kiwi every so often and brush it just so it will maintain its original black look.

I picked these up in preparation for a 2 day training class. The boots felt very comfortable and I didn't notice any problems until I took them off at the end of the first day. I noticed that my toenails appeared slightly bruised and started to get a little sore after having the boots off for about 30 min. There were no circumstances where I hit or injured my feet during the day so I just attributed it to be bored needing break in, even though it felt like there was plenty of room in the toe box. At the end of the second day I I took the boots off and my big toe on both feet were notably bruised, and the nails appeared to have blood blisters under them. After a week, the left toenail completely detached and fell off, while the right one is still almost totally purple/black, though it has not detached at this time. I honestly don't know how this kind of trauma was possible, but there was nothing else that happened to explain this other than these new boots. I have regretfully returned these boots as defective. I'm still giving the boots 4 stars because they were otherwise very comfortable and I really liked them. I wish they would have worked better for me. I originally posted photos to show, but Amazon said it was too graphic, I guess.

There is nothing about this boot that makes it “tactical” other than it is black. They are comfortable, but no safety toe, slip resistant sole, or waterproof. It is a lightweight black hiking boot—that is it.
