I’m a 52 yo Jujitsu Brown belt and lifetime martial arts enthusiast. I ordered many different types of compression shorts/underwear for wearing under my gi. These were by far the best brand under $30 for supporting the peas and the carrot (OMBs?). They provide good compression while being very comfortable at the same time. You may see some complaints about them being too tight or too snug. Those are from people that don't know what compression shorts are supposed to feel like. They're compression shorts they're supposed to be snug Dumas. I think these would be good for other intense activities where support is necessary but you're not wearing a cup. They have a cell phone pocket, if you're an idiot and you need to carry your phone while you're scooting or pulling guard. They are correctly sized. If you wear a L underwear, then the L short is the one to buy. They feel great under the gi and work well for no gi as well (underneath your shorts please). I am using this same review for this product. I bought both a large and medium, one black one white. I am 5'11" around 185, 33 in waist. I pulled a groin muscle and compression shorts were recommended to me. The large size fits well, provides nice compression, very comfortable. White looks nice but I think I prefer the black ones. The medium size is tight, but I think I like it better. This feels like it gives me better compression, makes sense right? Overall both fit, if you are larger than me go large, otherwise go medium. ... show more

I’m not use to wearing compression gear. Obviously they are suppose to be tight. Definitely great to wear while on the treadmill! Picked up the blue pair! Great value!

These are the best for me! I wasted money on so-called compression shorts four times and they weren't any different from my regular boxer briefs. Excellent compression shorts. Amazon recommended medium size for me even though brand stated my size would be a large. Was seeking a true compression short so medium was perfect—definitely not too tight. Big feature is a pocket on side for phone when running. Wear these with medical grade compression stockings for dysautonomia. These are much better than any multiple pack compression shorts. Also bought CompressionZ brand, which I might like better overall but definitely like the pocket on these. ... show more
