My son has longer legs and often will grow out of the length of a pant before he grows out of the waist of the pants. He's 8 years old and grew out of the size small - too short and too tight. The mediums are a great next step - they are a bit big in the waist (thank you belt!) and long in the legs, but since the legs are tapered, the extra length is not a problem at all - and actually makes me relieved to know we have length to grow! We had the mediums for fall in white - but coach switched to gray - so we grabbed the greys in medium too. The smalls had lasted him for 3 seasons and still looked amazing - amazing enough to gift down to our neighbors! I'm hoping the mediums have the same longevity. They're a decent price for how much wear we got out of them. The white ones responded VERY WELL to Iron Out for those red dirt stains - but since you can't use Iron Out on colors (grey), I'm not sure what I'll use this season. Other users are saying they clean up well - so I have a good outlook on these. We tried another brand when these were out of stock - they weren't as good (length was good, but had a very low crotch area, looked sloppy) and only $2 cheaper! Wait for these pants to come back in stock if they're out - it's worth it! Those other pants went straight back to returns. We've found the pants for us! ... show more

We purchased these as a backup pair for my son last season for pictures. Why they give young children white pants to slide in red clay I don’t know… anyways we used these for pictures and that was pretty much it. They are nice but a little see through so you can see their underwear prints through them. I saw some reviews complain that they had holes after their kids wore them to practice/games and slid. We haven’t used them yet for that because last season my sons pictures were right at the end of the season so this will be his first season getting to actually play in them. ... show more

If you're looking for baseball pants for an average to slim-built kiddo, these UA brand are the way to go. They have a tapered leg, and fit my lean kiddo well (60lbs, 4'5"). The picture compares them to the "A" brand pants he wore for two seasons but have since become too short but still fit well in the waist. I can't speak to the durability yet since he hasn't worn them but I'll try to remember to come back and update. ETA: These are no more see-through than any other name brand white baseball pants. We've had Adidas, Champro, and Alleson and they're all pretty much the same thickness. Just make sure they have on white or a solid light color and it's really. not noticeable, especially with the shirt tucked in. ... show more

These pants fit my 8-year old son well. We wore these for practices, shirt tucked in, without needing a belt. No complaints on the fit and feel from him. That's a winner. From the parents' perspective, his knees got very stained with something that we could not seem to get clean again. So they have a used, worn look. These pants fit true to size. They are lightweight pants, appear thinner than other brands but they fit and look good. We are pleased so far.

Pants fit great and washed well. But after only a few games both knees tore . Wish they were more durable. My son was only 6 at the time so it’s not THAT intense of baseball so do the math.
