Not a full 5 pounds :( I haven't actually used this product yet. So, I'm going to run a few tests to compare it to the other clear melt & pour I usually use. If there is any significant difference, if I remember, I'll post a note.

I loved working with this base. How ever the amount I recieved was not 5 full lbs. Both my buys where under. That's my only dissapointment.

Overall I wasn't thrilled with this soap. It melted fine, I was able to add scent and mica pigment to it just fine, but this soap would not lather at all.

Standard glycerin for soap making. I did not weigh it, but other reviews said it was not 5lbs. Needed 18 bars of soap and it said it made 25, so figured I'd be covered even if it was a little under. It only made 14 bars measuring 3" x 2" x 1.5". Completely disappointed and just placed an order for an additional 2lbs from a different company so I could finish this project in time. ... show more

I bought one five pound package and made 20 bars of colorful fragrant soap. I had so much fun I bought another package and my wife joined in and made 19 bars of soap that I have been giving to family members. Just ordered another package!

I was looking for a clear soap base and sometimes it hard to find one that has absolutely no color. Used a few other soap base products, none of them can match the quality of this soap base. It's easy to use and very clear. The thing that attracted me also to this brand was that there is NO SLS or SLES. Packaging was simple, in a nice bag so you can save the rest for another time.
