I'm not big on writing reviews, but after the HUNDREDS of compliments last night I figured I owe it to this company. I ordered the wine color as a last minute (bless you Amazon for such fast shipping) backup which became my primary for a holiday party. I'm a bottom-heavy 16 and the XL fit perfectly. IMO it's true to size for a 16-18. The armholes were perfect- neither too big nor too small, and at 5'5" it wasn't too short- it hit right at mid-knee. The skirt is VERY roomie and almost cupcake-style from the waist, so it's a bit breezy underneath, but stays put/doesn't ride up and I could sit down with no problem. The bust and waist were proportionally accurate with some stretch if necessary, but no extra material. The material is springy enough that it could've been worn straight out of the package, but a quick press easily got the few wrinkles out. The material is a foamier, lightweight version of neoprene and super comfortable for an indoor winter party. I doubt I'd wear it outdoors in a sweaty Southern summer though. The ruffle is big and FABULOUS, which absolutely makes the dress. The back of the ruffle isn't tacked down and it did keep flipping forward, but easily fixable and not in an annoying way. The ruffle and neckline allow for a big necklace if you'd like, but personally I felt hair up and statement earrings were the way to go. It's not perfectly sewn (super perfectionist here) and there's stitching around the neck tag that shows through, but for the price and style, this was a steal. This dress is versatile and could easily work for a party, wedding, client meeting, graduation, etc. Although the crew neck and length make it modest, it is a SHOWSTOPPER! For execution I'd really give it 4 stars, but for the reception it received, it was a TEN! Overall, I am thrilled with the fit and design, not to mention the price.

This definitely makes me look way more bottom-heavy than I am! The bottom of the dress starts to curve outward like a bell right at the bottom of my ribs instead of at the hips, so if you're on the taller side (I'm 5'10") or have a longer torso, it might look kind of funny. The hem also hits me a good couple of inches above the knee, so bending over at the waist or a swift breeze might cause quite a show! Now, all that being said.. I don't even care! I think this dress is the coolest thing ever. The material is extremely comfortable and stretchy (think neoprene, like another reviewer said). I'm generally a size 18/20, but ordered a 3X just because I wanted to be certain it fit. I could have easily stuck with my normal 2X though. I will probably belt the dress at the waist when I wear it, in hopes that will remedy the issue with the bottom. Either way, I'd say it's a good buy. Definitely a conversation piece!!

This dress was so amazing & flattering! It hit right above the knee. I am 5โ4โ, 36DD, M top, 8 bottom, 165lbs. I ordered a M since the fabric is a stretchy scuba material and it was perfect. I gave it 4 stars just because the waist was a little loose & the inside seams were scratchy, which irritated my skin by the end of the night.

Was skeptical about purchasing but initially did. When it arrived I was kind of iffy due to how much material it was at the bottom but when I put it on I was amazed!! I wore it to a wedding and received so many compliments. I do agree that the bottom has alot of material which makes you look bigger but overall the dress was lovely.. I got XL

I ordered and XL in this product and maybe I should have gotten a L instead. I am 5ft 6in and 160 lbs. The length and bust was fine but the waist was way to big. This product is true to its size and a bit thicker than I would like especially since I live in sunny Florida. I took it to be altered and now it fits better. I also wish the back was not so high, it looks shorter than the front once you put it on. However, the ruffles make the dress unique and you can dress it up or down. After my upcoming party I will wear it in cooler seasons. Also the delivery was super fast.

I love this dress!! Iโm keeping it! However, it gets boxy at the waist seam on the sides. You have the skirt meet the bodice and then itโs meant to have a pleat gather at the same spot. The thick scuba material ends up propping itself up at the seams and causing your waist to look very boxy. This can be solved easily by tacking the pleat down to the skirt about 1โ below the waist seam. It took me about 10 minutes to do this before an event I was planning to wear the dress to. It worked, looks great! Already planning to wear it again!!

I will admit I returned this dress because it would not suit my needs. It is pretty, color is vibrant and would definetely be a show stopper. I got the mustard color and it did not disappoint aesthetically. My one quarrel is the material kinda sucks. It reminds me of neoprene and I bought this to be worn at a celebration of life where bright colors are needed. This type of material will definetely cause me to sweat in the sun, I will be in Jamaica. I wish it was a better material but if you will be indoors buy this dress! Very nice.

I was worried about this dress fitting me too tight in stomach area as I am pregnant, but it fit comfortably. While being pregnant and bloated Iโm in between a size 12/14. There was enough stretch in dress. I got sooo many compliments on it. It looks expensive and feels expensive. Only thing is with me being 5โ3 it went to my knees, so I had to have it altered to make it shorter.
