I was already a big Ugg fan, but these boots are over the top beautiful! I'm a 9 in boots and the 9 in this boot fit perfectly. They are very comfortable and more fitted to the calf than other Uggs I have purchased. This makes them suitable for winter dresses and skirts as well as pants and leggings.     • Fabulous boot!
The Sunburst boot has a narrower foot than the Ultra or Sundance. I have the Ultra and Classic as well and the Sunburst is a bit sleeker in appearance which I like. The sizing is the same as for any other Ugg boot. I walked home in a snowstorm for 40 min. which was actually faster than being stuck on a bus and the boots were perfectly warm with ideal traction and later were as new looking as ever. (Always waterproof before wearing.) But I did spend 20 min. standing still waiting for a bus in single digit temps and my feet were getting cold at that point which wouldn't have happened with the Ultras. The tiny bit of difference in the thickness of the toe means that they can't keep your feet as warm in up to -30 below which is advertised for Uggs in general. However, that is an extreme situation. I've worn these all day in the office without my feet feeling warm. These are a great addition to my wardrobe and well-worth the price. Also, after searching the country for hours on the internet for this boot, I was able to find it in my size only through Amazon, and at a good price!! Very impressive! ... show more

    • Solid boot, but it's not the Sundance II

I have owned a pair of size 5 Sundance II boots for about 8-9 years and have loved them dearly. When they'd finally run through their functional lives, I had to get a replacement. Lo and behold, that size is no longer available ANYWHERE (I tried Amazon, eBay, other online sellers, random shoe shops in NYC, Bloomingdales, department stores, etc). The style is hard enough to find! So I decided I'd give the Sunburst a try....ordered a size 5 again - I'm usually a 5.5-6 in any shoe. The boot is undoubtedly thinner than the Sundance II. If that isn't a huge concern, then it might be the shoe for you. The fur on the sides also goes down to the bottom, rather than stopping at the ankle. Finally, the toe box is narrower than the Sundance II. I thought I had narrow feet, and perhaps a size 6 would have sufficed, but in the size 5 even my feet felt extremely cramped after a couple days of wear. I hoped they'd break in, but I assure you that never happened. NYC got hit by a huge snowstorm so I was forced to wear them out as it's my only pair of winter boots...but I hope to recuperate some of the money in reselling them since I've only worn them a couple days. I eventually settled on the Sundance II in size 6 (which, by the way, the recent version is about an inch or two taller than the decade old version I had) since I couldn't find a size 5 anywhere. It is perhaps slightly large for me, but still preferable to the Sunburst. Somehow the fur just feels...nicer to me as well. Not sure if it's just my mind or if there's an actual difference though. ... show more

I love the tall boots Uggs makes and these are nice. They fit well and I’m happy with that part of the toe that reinforces the boot over the toe. I work outside a lot and the toes are the first part to wear out. Not by dragging my feet like a Neanderthal lol but because I get down on my knees and my toes drag on the dirt in the garden. My favorites will always be the tall Bailey Button in gray but those aren’t available anywhere right now and they don’t have that reinforcement at the toe. ... show more
