These are very attractive and very comfortable shoes. I like the platform effect. The soles are very “grippy”. They look great with jeans. The upper is a lovely nubuck. The lining is smooth and feels good with or without socks. But the sizing is odd. I tried two sizes (W8&9). The smaller size fit my arch, and width perfectly. The length was just a tiny bit short. The larger size was better in length, but then they were way too wide and sloppy. Unfortunately, the shoes are only available in whole sizes—but the whole size is closer to the half size (so the size 8 fits more like a 7.5) Btw, the men’s size conversion on these shoes is at least a whole size off. In fact, these shoes definitely seem like they were designed for women’s feet—so the “unisex” description is deceiving IMHO. Anyway, I am keeping them. But make sure you order them on PRIME so you can return these if they don’t quite fit. ... show more

Possibly the most lightweight and comfortable shoe I’ve worn besides my favorite brand of running shoes. With a sole that looks like it was upcycled from a monster truck’s tire tread, I wasn’t expecting these to be so weightless and bouncy. Unfortunately, they were too large and I returned them. (Don’t believe the hype if you read reviews that recommend sizing up.) I would only advise sizing up if you are between sizes. I will buy them in my regular size next time, and I will seek them out for an in person fitting. I give them (the brand’s store on Amazon) props for the quick refund to my card, and I’ve seen other styles by the brand that interest me, so I consider this experience a win in spite of the return. My sole word of caution is to note how the shoe is listed here. It’s called the Men’s Venture Daze, versus the official brand website calls it a Unisex Venture Daze and was easier to locate in women and unisex categories. IRL, I have seen more women wearing the style, perhaps because they look like a pair of 90’s club kid Belgian platforms had a love child with a trad German clogs. Venture Daze are not for everyone, but I know my Short Kings out there would rock them and knock the socks and knickers right off their partner(s). Facts. ... show more
