This is a soft molded silicone device made to fit along the curved edge of a hairdresser's shampoo bowl and give added neck support for the person in the chair. First of all, the silicone has a slight odor to it. Got it fitted to the bowl edge OK. However, the person lying back with their head into the bowl did not feel comfort but rather described it feeling like a lump behind their neck. Hard to keep the device in place. Very thick nice quality neck support for hair washing basin. Helps make it more comfortable on the neck but I'm not sure about the extra piece to it. I'm used to just the part that wraps onto the neck of the basin so this is different.
