More a shoe than a slipper, which is why I like them. The sole is a shoe sole -- so you can dash outside to the mailbox, sweep the show off your front step, no need to put on actual shoes. Part of what makes them almost shoes is the heel section: it's as tall as your heel, not the usual find in a slipper (picture shows this better than words). The fleece lining makes them warm in a cold house, better than flimsy sllippers. Not bad looking, either.

I originally bought these because I take my dogs out and recently lost my old pair of slippers in the wet climate I live in. It made no sense for me to constantly have to put my gym shoes or boots on every single time just to let the dogs out. I needed something I wasn't going to lose to water damage but rated for both indoor and outdoor use abd could easily be slipped on quickly. Now, admittedly, I have pretty big feet. (Like think hobbit feet.) So I'm used to having to buy larger shoes. In shoe sizes I normally have to order wides if wide isn't available I have to order larger. I'm normally a size 12W. These just barely made my size at a size 13. Unfortunately, even at 13 they do run smaller. So the fit is snug. They aren't terrible. They are warm be forewarned even with the sole being waterproof the fabrics on top are not hydrophobic so if you do have to walk in a wet area with them there's still a decent chance your feet will get wet. Small inconvenience but they have sprays to make fabrics hydrophobic so it isn't a huge ordeal. Other than they they are fine. Affordable, built tougher, yet comfortable. Decent pair of indoor outdoor slippers. They just aren't as all-terrain as they could be which is fine.

Over the years, these slippers have been available under different brand names. The first pair I bought lasted 4 years and I replaced them with another pair that's going on 7 years old now (they look awful, but still fit and work well). They have gotten much more expensive, but I think they are worth the money. I wear either a size 10.5 or 11, and all three pair I've owned have been EU 44 (size 11). The first two pair were shipped smashed together in the plastic bag like you will see in other reviews, but this pair came in a regular shoe box, each wrapped with paper and filled with a paper tube to hold the shape. The first two also had a VERY strong rubber smell to them that I was able to get rid of simply by sitting them in the garage for a few days, but this new pair had no smell at all. Apparently, the manufacturer is listening to the reviewers! The fuzzy interior is comfortable, but until you get the sole broken in a bit, they do tend to ride up and down on your heal. The fuzzy interior on the first two pair wore quickly (about 6 months) in the heal area, but I've never had a problem with the fit under these conditions. In fact, they seem to fit better as they wear in the interior. The outer sole on these is made of some kind of rubber that has great traction in all conditions indoor or out, and wears like iron! The build quality is excellent and durable. The slippers are very stable and comfortable and I expect this pair to last as long as the others! I would also say that the sole is not annoyingly loud on hard surfaces and actually gets quieter with use. Obviously, I like these slippers and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a comfortable, long lasting, high quality slipper.

So first impression. They are nice and warm which is good especially for the winter. The fit is a little odd, though seems like one is tighter then the other if that makes sense. Then again though I'm sure that will level out when I wear them for a while. The soles of these shoes are a tough and somewhat stiffer then expected rubber. The whole thing could have had more cushioning added between the inside and the sole. However, this maybe due to the fact they are new and need to be broken in. I'll update once I think that's finally achieved. Update 1/21/24: Shoes have a removable insole. Was able to swap the stock out for something more comfortable. Fit is good, it did take time to break in. Good for short trips outside as well. Even dog walking in cold weather. Overall very good and I'm getting allot of use out of them. Update 2/1/24: Well, the only thing to add here would be these seem to irritate my feet if I wear these without socks. So far no problems and these do what they should. Update 8/2/25: Long term update. These are not the most durable, I have fabric tears starting to form. I might be able to fix it with a bit creativity. So looking at a about two years life span wise maybe. Make what you will of that.
