Features

  • Youth Helmet Glove and Goggle combo The quality and price you expect from TYPHOON HELMETS. Typhoon Helmets is American owned and we've been in business selling high quality certified helmets for more than 10 years
  • PLEASE PLEASE measure for size, we cannot impress on you enough how important it is that you measure for the correct size. Each manufacturers sizing is different. Measure the circumference of the largest part of the child's head, (usually just above the eyebrows) in inches: Use a paper tape measure or a string and do not pull it too tight, loose like a hat would fit.
  • SIZE CHART Youth Small: 18 to 19, Youth Medium: 19 to 20, Youth Large: 20 to 21, Youth XL: 21 to 22. Head shapes can affect how a helmet fits, the size chart is meant to be a starting point.
  • True youth sized smaller shells, not over padded adult helmets. Removable and washable liner. The helmet meets the DOT standard (FMVSS218). We ensure that the helmets we sell meet the DOT standard by having them tested regularly at an independent test facility. But the helmet weighs roughly 3lbs so they are not recommended for anyone under the age of 5

  • My daughter loves it.
Size: X-Large Color: Pink W/ Pink Gloves & Goggles
We bought this helmet afer our daughter has a bad bike accident wearing a normal bike helmet. Well the helmet did its job but didnt protect her face and she ended up knocking out an adult front tooth. After having it out back in we decided to still let her be a kid. She needed extra protection around the face so if she fell again her mouth was protected. We havent had the opertunity to test the durability of this helmet and we hope we have to give that review. So far she loves it. She says its comfortable. She says she likes wearing it. I will honest and say we know the saying you get what you pay for. We are not expecting this helmet to be used as a motorcycle or on road ( it does have a DOT on it ) but we bought it cuz of the other reviews and to simply protect her mouth, teeth ans jaw if she ever has another accident. The helmet looks goot, seems to be built good the gloves fit well for her. I recommend this product for use as i described above. Like i said. We hope we never have to give a review for having to use for what its made for. 100% satisfaction ... show more

  • A new helmet for "CRASH"
We have a three year old boy.... That should be enough right there but there is more. I ride street bikes and he loves dressing up in my gear. He also is quite the daredevil, no fear at all. This is not uncommon though for a three year old. He does however have the tendency to run full speed one direction while looking the other direction. This has lead to some amazing crashes in the home. So much though that we have nick named him crash. I always joked I was going to get him a helmet. I was recently in an accident were I was hit from behind while parked at a red light. My helmet hit the ground but not bad. So since I should not use that helmet moving forward I gave it to CRASH and he loved it. Running around the house wobbling back and forth. Since we had recently purchased a battery powered quad runner and I would prefer something better than the bike helmet I decided to pick this package up for him. I was amazed at the quality and strength of the helmet. The gloves could have been stronger but they will work fine for dirt. What started out as a joke turned out to be a great purchase. I am not going to try and influence him to ride or not to ride, that is up to him as he matures. What I do like is that now he feels comfortable and even prefers safety equipment. In my opinion this is good training since I am a firm believer in helmet and other safety equipment when it comes to motorcycles. ... show more

  • Good helmet for my kid who is starting out
Size: Small Color: Red W/ Red Gloves & Goggles
Good helmet for a 5 year old when they’re starting out. Shoot I’d rate it all -0s hell of a price on this here helmet too. It’s not like a 5 year old is gonna be doin’ them typa evil coonievel type deals any ways pard. I ain’t gonna go pay 150 for something he’s gonna use a coulpe times anyways. Not until he gets bigger. Mighty fine helmet y’all. Be fun have safe. ... show more

  • Visor is loose
Size: Large Color: Pink W/ Pink Gloves & Goggles
This looks like a good helmet. Gloves and googles are good. Keep in mind my kids are not racing and its a lot cheaper than wrapping their heads in gauze. The only complaint/issue I have with this helmet are the screws holding the visor on. They were loose but tighten up with a flat head screwdriver. Problem is that there is no way to get a screw driver in without tearing up part of the visor. I had to cut away a bit of plastic to be able to properly secure the visor. Also the chin strap is super long, not a defect, works fine, just weird. ... show more

  • Sizes are inaccurate
Size: Large Color: Pink W/ Pink Gloves & Goggles
I ordered an XlY for my five year old based off of the size chart guide lines. She is a 20.5" and it says if borderline to order up for better fit so I ordered the XlY which is supposed to fit a 21-22. The helmet was so lose on her it actually fit me (I am a 22) so I emailed the company stating I would keep the Xl for myself if they discounted my 2nd purchase. Tho the company did refund the shipping the YL (20-21) helmet was not at all satisfying. It fit just as loose as the Xl and infact I would say they are the same size with different tags. (Again the YL helmet fit me just the same as the XL) These helmets are not meant for children. They are heavy which I did read in the reviews b4 purchasing... I just figured all helmets were gunna be a little heavy but these do not have the padding required for a child round their jawline/cheeks to ensure the helmet doesn't wobble and move. A good helmet should have room enough to squeeze two fingers between the child's Hemet and cheek and they should beable to bite down without biting their cheeks. These helmets however are loose with not enough padding. The circumference may fit your child's head but there is more than just head size that matters here and because of the lack of padding around the jawline/cheeks I would deem these unsatisfactory and quite dangerous for younger children because their faces are thinner and will not fi put the rest of the helmet. In summary I would suggest buying a different brand. ... show more

  • These helmets fit perfect. Listen when I say that you will not ...
Size: Medium Color: Yellow W/ Yellow Gloves & Goggles
My daughter's are 3 and 5 years old. I bought this helmet combo for each child. I got a YM for my 3 year old and YL for my 5 year old. These helmets fit perfect. Listen when I say that you will not find a better quality for this price. We all know that as parent's we want something that'll protect our children but we also know that they'll only have the helmet for one season. I decided to wait until my 3 year old daughter's first REAL crash to write this review. I'm talking about her going over the handle bars type of crash. She stood up, dusted herself off and got back on her 50cc four wheeler. She has no idea I was watching her. Of course the dad thing to do is to make sure she wasn't seriously hurt and act like it never happened and hope that she doesn't tell mom when we get home lol. Wishful thinking I know. But the helmet worked. Seriously, not a tear. Take the head first experience from us, IT WORKS! ... show more
