I’m a massage therapist and I use this while working on clients since I can’t wear my watch (using my forearms for strokes). I got it because I’m a little bit of a health nut and haven’t worn it in a month because I never thought to get one of these. I put it up closer to my armpit so no oil gets on it and it’s hidden by my scrub sleeves. I’m not sure how accurate it is measuring on my arm vs my wrist but it seemed to pick up everything fine even when I first wore it to workout. I’ve always been curious how active I am while massaging and I burned about 250 calories per massage I did. It didn’t slip down my arm at all during my entire shift. It was a little hard to get in at first but it only took me about two minutes.

I'm a big fan of this strap, and the idea of it. It's the only option for me to be able to accurately track my boxing workouts. I have uses it on both arms, as well as biceps during use. While the item is comfortable and breathable, unfortunately, the velcro seems to weaken extremely quickly for me; I constantly have to remove one of my gloves to re-strap the watch while working out. A small, fabric cinch included with the product could go along way with helped to alleviate the only shortcoming of this product.

I wasn't sure if I could justify $40 for yet another Apple Watch accessory, but because I use wraps and grips when I lift, I didn't want my Apple watch to not track my workout. This did the job quite nicely! I was able to move the strap up to my forearm, though I cannot verify for sure if the heartrate is completel accurate, but again, I use it more to track my workout time and motion than just the heartrate. It stretches quite nicely, though I wish I could just move it up my wrist just a bit above the strap instead of coming all the way up, but since I can still wear the watch AND track movement and heartrate (theoretically), it's a concession I'm willing to make. Popping the watch body in and out of the strap is kind of a pain because it's tight, but at the same time, because it's so tight, I don't worry that I'm going to lose my watch. Beware if you have a screen protector on it, even the kind that just covers the screen because this sleeve has created folds on my screen protector and I had to remove it. Overall though, it does what I need and I'm able to track my workouts while also using grips and wraps! Recommended if you're looking for something like this (which there are surprisingly few options, if I'm being honest.) Cheers!

Not flexible at all. No way to secure it and also flex your muscles. Either you have to tighten it so hard you impinge your movement, or if you extend your arm it will slide off. Completely useless for working out. Still trying to find any use for it… but it’s most likely another gimmick that tricked me out of my money

It’s comfortable and worked for the most part. Some workouts it didn’t help my watch recognize my heart rate. The velcro would detach during a boxing session. The device would occasionally come off entirely. If you truly care about recording workouts I would recommend it for less intense workouts.

Overall it works great until the velcro begins to weaken after a month or two of moderate use. I was shipped a second band after I had issues with the velcro on the first one and was told to wear it "looser" to prevent this issue. I tried that but it just slides off my arm and now I have the same weak velcro issue (and honestly you should not need to worry about how tight or loose you wear it because this is meant for sports use and the quality should be much better for the price you pay). I would pump it up to 5 stars if they used a different securing mechanism or strengthened the velcro. I would like to try the new Twelve South ActionBand for the wrists but I have a 45 mm watch and it's been stuck at "coming soon" for a while now.

I was having issues wearing my Apple Watch on my wrist as normal while my hands were wrapped for kickboxing class - the wraps would bump up against the dial and if I didn't remember to put it in water mode, it would prompt the emergency signal. This armband has been amazing. Easy to use, tracks my heart rate effectively and stays on my arm without sliding down during a workout. I forget it's even there. Highly recommend!
